At the same time, the Hungarian national team formed by Hun Wade also began to sweep across Europe, and Hungary's original 4-striker tactic was a perfect match for Kočisz. Koczyš's goalscoring efficiency in the national team soon surpassed Puskas to become the team's leading scorer. In the 1954 World Cup, Koczis scored a total of 11 goals, and together with his teammates took Hungary to the World Cup final, and finally fell at the feet of West Germany. Kochish was named the top scorer in the World Cup with 11 goals. And in the list of top scorers in the previous World Cup, it is only 13 goals behind Fontaine, ranking 2nd.

In 1956, there was unrest in Hungary, when the Honverde Club was visiting Spain. Several big-name players, including Kochish, refused to return home. For political and procedural reasons, the remaining players did not join any team for the next 1 year. It was not until 1957 that Koczis briefly joined a Swiss team. He was then summoned by his national team teammates to Barcelona. Barcelona at the time had superstars such as Kubala, Suarez Sr. and Zibor at the time. It was the first great era for Barcelona. Kocise played 235 games, scored 151 goals, won two La Liga titles and won two Copa del Rey.

In the 1961 Champions League, Barça made it all the way to the final. Although Kochish scored the first goal in the final, he lost to Benfica and finished second in the Champions League. It was also on this stadium that Kochish lost the World Cup final seven years ago in the 1954 World Cup final. Kochish left endless regrets at the Van Koddorf Stadium in Bern, Switzerland.

On July 22, 1979, Koczish fell to his death on the fourth floor of a hospital in Barcelona. Since then, a generation of legends has left forever.
