The 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame 15 shortlist announced: Andy Cole, Ashley Cole, Gary Neville, Jermaine Defoe, John Terry, Les Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Michael Irving, Nemanja Vidic, Petr Cech, Leo Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Saul Campbell, Tony Adams, Yaya Toure
Fans from all over the world will vote for 3 members, and the results of the fan vote will be combined with the votes of the Premier League Awards Committee and Premier League Hall of Famers to select 3 new Premier League Hall of Famers.
【When will the voting end?】 】
Voting closes at 1 a.m. Beijing time on April 11, and the three winners will be announced on May 3.
[How are players shortlisted?] 】
The shortlist takes into account accolades and data that meet the Hall of Fame criteria, including individual and team honours, as well as the player's total appearances, goals, assists and clean sheets in the Premier League.
[Which players are eligible?] 】
To qualify for the 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame, players must retire by 1 January 2023 and only the player's Premier League career, not their performance in other leagues, is considered when qualifying is made.
[What do selected players get?] 】
Each Premier League Hall of Fame inductee will receive a personalised medal and £10,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
[Who are Hall of Fame members?] 】
The Premier League Hall of Fame kicked off in 2021 with inaugural inductees including Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
In 2022, Wayne Rooney, Patrick Vieira, Sergio Aguero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes and Ian Wright were selected.
In 2023, two great coaches, Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, will be inducted directly into the Premier League Hall of Fame, and the remaining three will be retired players, selected by vote.
