Honduras has just expelled Taiwan, and the three countries openly "stand up for Taiwan" to challenge one China, and the United States actually expressed its appreciation

A few days ago, Honduras officially "severed diplomatic relations" with Taiwan and instead established diplomatic relations with the mainland. Like Nicaragua before it, Honduras did things very simply and immediately issued an "eviction order" against the Taiwan authorities' "office" in the country. The fact that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China is clear to the whole world, but three countries came out of place at an opportune time to "stand up for Taiwan," and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken actually expressed his appreciation.

Previously, the United States repeatedly pressured and coerced Honduras not to "sever diplomatic relations" with Taiwan, but Honduran President Castro still did not forget his dream of establishing diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland. Without alarming either party, after one year in office, she directly announced that she had instructed the foreign minister of the country to proceed with the formal establishment of diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland.

As soon as the news came out, the island shook. The DPP authorities urgently summoned the so-called "representative of Honduras in Taiwan" and expressed "grave concern" over the matter. A State Department spokesman also threatened the U.S. side, declaring that the U.S. "will continue to closely monitor its next moves" and spreading rumors that "China has made many unfulfilled promises."

Honduras has not given face to the US side and the Taiwan authorities at all. Honduran Foreign Minister Eduardo Reina bluntly said that Honduras "must cooperate with the world's major powers" and establish diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland is to promote economic and trade relations with China. Almost the whole world is connected to China, he said, and Honduras has to follow this "global trend that has been slow to join." Reiner also affirmed the development of multipolarity and multilateralism in the world.

While the US side and the Taiwan authorities were still eyeing Honduras, some prescient people had already foreseen the "tide of severing diplomatic relations" by the Taiwan authorities. Another "friend" of Taiwan, the South American country of Paraguay, is going through the same process as Honduras. Paraguay will hold a presidential election in April, and the country's opposition presidential candidate, Elle Gray, like Castro, declared a month ago that "if elected, he will seek diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland."

The United States, like the previous "dissuasion" of Honduras, sent high-ranking officials to lobby Paraguay. The difference is that the special envoy was on his last trip to Honduras, and this time he went to Paraguay by Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Paraguay is the only so-called "diplomatic country" in South America, covering an area of more than 400,000 square kilometers, the largest of Taiwan's only 13 remaining "diplomatic relations." If it were not for the "diplomatic relations" with the Taiwan authorities, Paraguay would not have a sense of existence in the eyes of the United States.

During his meeting with Paraguayan Foreign Minister Julio Arriola, Blinken talked about so-called "shared values" and "democracy," while the Paraguayan side reiterated its so-called "principled commitment" to Taiwan in the presence of Blinken. Honduras was not dealt with, but Paraguay still did not survive the sugar-coated shells of the United States.

There are two other countries, and the United States has not made a move, and they have issued a "stand up for Taiwan" promise. On 28 July, Speaker of the Czech House of Commons Adamova, who was visiting Taiwan everywhere, delivered a speech in Taiwan's legislature, claiming that the Czech Republic and the Taiwan authorities are "together" and that "we will be in the same boat under any circumstances." On the other side of the South Pacific, Fiji also changed the name of Taiwan's so-called "representative office" without warning, reverted to its original name, and restored its "foreign affairs privileges."

Blinken went so far as to express his "appreciation" for this kind of behavior that openly "stands up for Taiwan" and provokes the one-China principle. During the establishment of diplomatic relations between the mainland and Honduras, the Chinese side directly named the United States on several occasions and criticized it for obstructing exchanges between sovereign states; China has also warned the United States on many occasions not to play with fire and "cut sausages" on the Taiwan issue, and that the Taiwan issue is the "first red line" between China and the United States. But today, the United States is obviously mired in "Chinaphobia", and has been carried away in order to maintain its hegemony, so that it acts with considerable disregard.

Sino-US relations are at an all-time low and could slide to the brink of danger at any time. If the United States wants to build the so-called "guardrail," it must abide by the commitments made in the three Sino-US joint communiques. The patience of the Chinese people is limited and will not give the United States opportunities again and again, and the United States should cherish it.
