The Philippines officially received two retired patrol boats from the U.S. Navy

The U.S. Navy hurricane-class coastal patrol ships USS Monsoon (PC-4) and USS Chinook (PC-9) were decommissioned in Bahrain on March 28, marking the end of 28 years of service with the U.S. Navy by officers and sailors. The two ships will then sail to the Philippines and be officially handed over to the Philippine Navy. A Philippine Navy delegation arrived in Bahrain earlier to attend the decommissioning and handover ceremony.

It is expected that the two ships will soon be seen in the South China Sea.
