F1 has never been a successful race through the wind tunnel alone, and the Mercedes W14 once again proves this. To be sure, the W14 must be in better shape in the Mercedes wind tunnel than it is in reality.
ToTo has said after the Bahrain race that they really seem to be on the wrong path, suggesting that don't be surprised if the W14 is changed to Red Bull RB19 in the future.
Under the budget cap, it is difficult to redesign the new body, even if Mercedes has previously discussed the Red Bull design and conducted wind tunnel tests, they are likely to gradually prefer to modify the body and seek balance, otherwise their more than a year of vertical sidebox data collection will be in vain.
