NSW General Election Labor Party wins Australian mainland is red
The Labour Party won the new state election in Australia, and for the first time in 15 years, all states and territories in mainland Australia were governed by the Labor Party [China Like] [China Like].
Chris Minns defeated Liberal Premier Nancy Pelot, Labor's first majority government in 12 years.
The result means that the entire Australian state, with the exception of Tasmania, is led by the Labor Party, for the first time since Kevin Rudd became prime minister in 2007.
This is the second time in Australian history that this has happened.
Prime Minister Albanese won the 2022 general election, and the federal government is governed by Labour.
The newly elected Premier of NSW Chris Minns, born in 1979, is now the 47th Premier of New South Wales, Australia. He has been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Kogarah Division since 2015. Minns served as Deputy Mayor of Hurstville from 2007 to 2008.
His father is a principal and he graduated from Princeton University with a master's degree in public policy (2012-13).
He is married to his wife, Anna, and has three sons
He was a firefighter.
