Resident Evil 4: Remastered was officially released yesterday, and it's already had impressive results on Steam. In fact, it has already set the record for the highest number of concurrent players ever recorded in the Resident Evil series.
As I write this, there are 132,331 players active in the game as Leon Kennedy (and his cute leather jacket), and that number is likely to rise over time.
From a more macro perspective, Resident Evil 8: The Village peaks at 106631 concurrent players. In third place is Resident Evil 2: Remastered, which has an all-time high of 74,227 players.

Game Media recently awarded Resident Evil 4 Remastered a Recommended Badge, calling it "as good as the original."
Capcom also recently announced that the classic mercenary mode will also be brought in the remastered version of Resident Evil 4, which will be launched as a free DLC on April 7.
