From March 20th to 23rd, we traveled for four days in Taipa Island, Macau. In the past four days, I visited seven representative hotels, visited the University of Macau and Macau University of Science and Technology, visited Bunker Street and Guanye Street, and experienced a driverless light rail. However, what leaves us with the best impression is not the prosperity and convenience here, but the thinking pattern and service attitude of Macao compatriots.

First, when landing, the initiative and enthusiasm of the ride-hailing drivers made us feel welcome. My wife came to Macau more than 10 years ago, but I came for the first time, and the hotel and airport pick-up driver were all booked through Ctrip. At the beginning of the plane, we were worried about whether the mainland's mobile phone could smoothly contact the driver who came to pick us up, so the pick-up driver took the initiative to call us and tell us his license plate number, so that we could come out of which port and where to wait; When he saw us, he also took the initiative to greet us and drove the car in front of us. After getting on the bus, he enthusiastically introduced us to the local situation, pulled on the family routine, and reminded us what type of transportation to take and where it was cheaper to find restaurants. In his eyes, we are not tourists, but friends or relatives who have been reunited for a long time; We immediately felt at home and were immediately brought closer to this strange city.

2. The enthusiasm of Macao compatriots embodies respect for people, which is our deepest feeling. No matter where we were, they patiently told us how to get around and even took us directly to the pick-up location. In particular, we went to the light rail station to buy tickets, and the window staff asked us if we were over 65 years old? Yes, you can enjoy half price, we said yes, and when we wanted to take out our ID card to prove ourselves, they quickly said that they didn't need to use it, and immediately gave us a half-price ticket. Compared with the situation of "only certifying but not recognizing people" in mainland scenic spots, we immediately have a feeling of being trusted. It was the same when we checked into the hotel, we told the receptionist that we were going to stay here for a few nights, could we give us a higher-rise house to see the view of Macau. She asked if we wanted a sea view room or a city view room, we said city view room, she arranged for us to the best one on the 19th floor. This room has a condescending view and a sweeping view of Macau. Compared with the practice of some hotels in the mainland "changing rooms and increasing prices", this feeling of being respected is really good.

3. From the electric taxi driver who sent us to the University of Macau, we felt the psychological quality and thinking pattern of Macao compatriots.
The first time I visited the University of Macau, we called and asked for a taxi. On the way, because the road was sprinkled with oil, the courier brother who was a stone's throw away in front of our car drove the motorcycle and fell, but fortunately, our driver reacted quickly and braked in time, and the police on the side of the road stepped forward to help the courier brother up. Otherwise, another serious traffic accident. The driver's stable psychological quality saved the life of the courier brother.
Beyond the undersea tunnel is the University of Macau. According to the driver, the University of Macau moved to a new campus in Hengqin, Zhuhai, and the local government built the undersea tunnel in order to connect the University of Macau with Taipa. We asked the driver, for a school, the cost of building an undersea tunnel is very high! Is it worth it? The driver said, of course, it's worth it! This is a place to cultivate talents, and in the future, one or two top talents will be produced, and one or two universities of Macau will return. Such an answer is awe-inspiring!
No matter how prosperous, modern and good a place is, it depends on people to build it. Therefore, the cultivation of talents is the key. This truth, even an ordinary driver is so clear, it can be seen that the thinking pattern of Macao people is really not ordinary!
