Young Lyudmila

In June 1916, a baby girl with full name Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko was born in a small picturesque village in Ukraine.

As a child, Lyudmila loved to sing, but was also smart and clever, and at that time she admired her teacher and dreamed of teaching and educating people like her when she grew up.

But little Lyudmila did not expect that when she grew up, she would become a Soviet ace sniper.

In the blink of an eye, Lyudmila graduated from secondary school, she got a job in Kiev, became an ordinary person, and lived a dull and quiet life.

The lively and active Lyudmila was not satisfied with this ordinary life, and in search of excitement, she joined a local shooting club and immediately became fascinated with the sport.

When she heard the explosion of the bullet fired from the gun and saw the bullet hit the target, Lyudmila felt a joy and pleasure like never before.

After a while, Lyudmila's shooting level became more and more prominent, and he soon stood out in the club and became the best among the members.

If World War II hadn't happened, Lyudmila might have gone to a club every day to get a shooting addiction, and then find a beloved man and spend her life ordinary.

Lyudmila who wants to be a sniper

On June 22, 1941, the evil German Nazis launched a blitzkrieg raid on the Soviet Union, quickly cutting into the heart of the Soviet Union, and the Great Patriotic War officially began.

Lyudmila was studying at a university in Kiev at this time, and after learning of the German invasion, Lyudmila put down her books with many patriotic young people of the Soviet Union, joined the Soviet Red Army, and rushed to the front to fight the German Nazis.

Originally, female fighters like Lyudmila were usually assigned to the logistics department of the Soviet Red Army or assigned to work as a nurse in a field hospital.

But Lyudmila was reluctant to enter such a rear support unit, but resolutely asked to let herself go to the front, saying that her shooting level was first-class and she could be a sniper.

Of course, no one believed her words, and no one thought that such a Soviet girl who had just come out of college could pick up a heavy rifle and snipe the Germans from a distance.

In order to prove that he is indeed capable of the job of a sniper, Lyudmila picked up the rifle on the side and lay on the snow without saying a word.

She took a standard firing stance and disconnected the gun, which hit a tree trunk two hundred meters away.

Lyudmila's performance silenced everyone present, and the leaders of the army assigned Lyudmila to the 25th Infantry Division of the Soviet Red Army as a sniper without saying a word.

Go to the front

In August 1941, her superiors gave Lyudmila the task of lurking on the hill of Villavka to work with her comrades to block the German army.

When the first German target in the sniper mirror appeared, Lyudmila was a little nervous and scared, after all, the opposite was a living person.

But after thinking of the crimes committed by the Nazis, Lyudmila did not hesitate and decisively pulled the trigger of the sniper rifle.

Since then, Lyudmila has been on the battlefield like water, and all the German Nazis who came within range of her sniper rifle have fallen.

Lyudmila was unrelenting, and the number of enemies she sniped increased rapidly, killing 187 German Nazi soldiers in the two battles of Moldova and Odessa alone.

In the Soviet Red Army, the reputation of the Lyudmila sharpshooter quickly spread and became a famous female sniper in the Red Army.

Although Lyudmila took the lives of a large number of enemies on the battlefield of Odessa like death, the Soviet Red Army lost the battle, and they retreated to Sevastopol to start a defensive battle.

Wounded and retired from the front

By June 1942, when the Germans began to attack Sevastopol, Lyudmila, who was ambushed in the distance to snipe at the enemy, was unfortunately injured by a shell flying from a German position.

The news of the wounded sharpshooter Lyudmila immediately spread from the positions of the Soviet troops, and soon reached the ears of Stalin, the supreme commander of the USSR.

Stalin did not hesitate, he immediately gave orders to the military to send a submarine to pick up, and sent the wounded Lyudmila from the front to a hospital in the rear for good treatment.

From the time Lyudmila enlisted until she retired from her wounds, she sniped 309 German Nazi soldiers, including many high-ranking German army officials and 36 German snipers.

A German sniper who killed more than 500 Allied troops was also on the Lyudmila sniper list.

Less than a year after Lyudmila entered the war, her sniper record was as high as 309 enemies, a number that not only shocked the Soviet Union, but also applauded the world, and since then Lyudmila has become a Soviet hero and is widely spread on the world stage of World War II.

Unlike the Allies' praise, the Germans hated Lyudmila to the bone, and they released words on the battlefield that they must capture Lyudmila alive, and then tear her into 309 pieces to avenge the death of 309 German soldiers.

But the Nazi German army ultimately failed.
