Recently, with the fermentation of the disappearance of Internet celebrities to Thailand, the topic of "Thailand tourism safety" has soared and has been discussed very hotly.

For most ordinary people, tourism generally chooses places where prices are not high, the environment is beautiful, and the folk customs are relatively simple and welcoming. Eating, drinking, hanging out, chatting with the locals, and being more relaxed. Thailand has become a tourist destination for many people with its unique climate, beautiful scenery, low consumption, many cuisines, and strong Buddhist atmosphere. By observing the friends around you, you can find that the first stop of overseas travel, they often choose Thailand, which shows its influence!

However, there are data showing that China though is the country with the largest number of tourists in Thailand.

Earlier Western surveys also ranked Thailand as the "least safe country" because nearly a quarter of an insurance company's outbound travel insurance claims (23%) were generated in Thailand.

A donkey friend who has been to Thailand once concluded: "In Thailand, you must pay attention to the fact that anyone who talks Chinese automatically leans up, is basically a liar, don't pay attention to him!" There seem to be quite a few people who express similar views, and many Internet bloggers in China claim that "Thailand is already too expensive to go" or even "Thailand is no longer worth coming."

On the whole, everyone's complaints about Thailand are nothing more than the following situations:

1. Customer slaughter occurs frequently

For example, "taxis do not use meters, and the fare for two kilometers is 150 yuan"; The catering industry gives tourists a "yin and yang menu", with foreigners at one price and Thais at another price.

Although those released by tourists to Thailand may not be all true, there may be ingredients added to the vinegar, but there must be a considerable number of tourists who have real real experiences.

2. Get scammed if you are not careful

For example, in the lively alleys near some hotels and crowded with tourists, people often pretend to be the manager of the massage parlor to pull business and charge you in advance. But just as visitors are ready to leave after a pampering Thai massage, the real boss will come back to you to collect the money.

In addition, if you are near the Grand Palace in Bangkok, there will be scammers who will talk to you and ask you where you are going, and then they will tell you that there is an event that is not open or the event has ended, and then they will direct you to other temples nearby, and kindly help you call a car, and finally you will find yourself taken to a jewelry store...

There are endless examples of such "pit deception"...

3. The price increase is obvious, and the consumption is not low

Inflated prices in hotels and entertainment venues are also a big reason. The prices of mid-to-high-end hotels in Bangkok were greatly pushed up in late 2022 and early 2023 when "foreign capital" and its high-spending people poured in, forming a huge price bubble that is still slowly digesting.

Bangkok's low-end hotels, although the price increase is not obvious, but some "convenient hotels" with reasonable accommodation conditions, 1300 baht-2500 baht is the average price, which is actually equivalent to the price of China's first- and second-tier non-tourist cities, far from "low consumption".

Although Thai tourism has been frequently exposed to "negative news", some tourists seem to have diametrically opposed opinions: they think that the Thai people they have contacted are generally kind, tolerant and courteous, and Thailand is a safer tourist country than those countries where guns, theft, robbery, kidnapping, and Chinese exclusion are frequent.

So, is Thailand, such a "controversial" country, safe and secure? Can we still go?

When you want to travel, danger, hostility, politics should be sidelined, everything revolves around "objective", where to travel is dangerous, protecting yourself is the first rule!
