However, most corporate taxes combined do not match the taxes paid by the tobacco industry. According to the latest data, in 2022, the tobacco industry will collect about 1.4 trillion yuan, enough to manufacture more than a dozen Ford-class aircraft carriers.
State-owned enterprises, central enterprises
1. China Tobacco
We only see the figure of 1.4 trillion, and we may not be able to imagine the concept of this number, but if we visualize this number and turn 1.4 trillion into 21 Huawei plus 36 Tencent tax payments, many people will intuitively feel the tobacco industry's annual contribution to mainland tax revenue.
And for the whole year of 2022, the expenditure of the Continental Army is 1.45 trillion yuan, which is equivalent to relying on the taxes of the tobacco industry alone to basically feed an army. It can be seen that the daily smoking expenses of mainland smokers have also indirectly contributed to the mainland's national defense.
Of course, there are many mainland enterprises, and in addition to China Tobacco, the "largest taxpayer", other enterprises involved by the state have also made great contributions in tax revenue.
2. State Grid, Sinopec
For example, the State Grid is closely related to the field of people's lives, and the annual tax payment exceeds 100 billion. Someone calculated a general account for State Grid, which paid taxes of about 1.95 trillion yuan in 18 years.
In addition, Sinopec is the leader in the energy field and is also related to people's lives, paying 358.1 billion yuan in 2018, basically paying almost 1 billion yuan in taxes for the country every day.

Other industries
In addition to the above-mentioned state-owned enterprises and central enterprises, which are major taxpayers in the mainland, private enterprises in the mainland have also played an important role in supporting the development of the mainland's tax system.
1. Real estate industry
Real estate enterprises are pillar enterprises in the mainland and can effectively promote the social and economic development of the mainland. 2. Technology industry

Huawei's tax payment in 2020 was 101 billion yuan and 2021 was 90.3 billion yuan, and the decline in tax payment is also related to the decline in Huawei's revenue, which is mainly related to the socio-economic environment. However, Huawei's tax payment has still ranked first among private enterprises in the past two years.
There is another interesting thing about Huawei's tax payment, some netizens saw the relevant data charts of Huawei, Tencent, and Ali disclosed in 2020, which caused controversy. Huawei's revenue was RMB894.1 billion and taxes paid RMB101 billion, Tencent's revenue was RMB482.1 billion, the tax paid was RMB20 billion, and Alibaba's revenue was RMB509.7 billion, and the tax paid RMB36.6 billion.

It is believed that Huawei's revenue value is almost twice that of Tencent and Alibaba, but why is the tax paid directly 5 times more?
In fact, Huawei's more than 100 billion yuan, a large part of which is value-added tax, the ultimate bearer is the end consumer, which means that the actual taxpayer buys Huawei products ourselves, and the part that belongs to Huawei itself is only 7.7 billion.
There is no error in these tax information, but some people do not understand and mistakenly compare the sum of all taxes paid by Huawei with the tax paid by one of the other two enterprises, so this question arises.
