Honduran President Hiomara Castro recently issued a statement revealing that the country's foreign minister has been instructed to deal with matters related to the formal establishment of diplomatic relations with China.

At present, there are only 14 so-called "countries with diplomatic relations" left by the Taiwan authorities, except for Honduras, which are the following small flies:
