Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, just a two-hour flight from mainland Europe, the Faroe Islands have 1,289 kilometers of coastline, no more than 5 kilometers from any point of the island to the ocean.
This proximity offers visitors a wide variety of natural experiences – from dramatic landscapes that meet the wild sea, to tranquil mountains, to the capital's nightlife.

Spectacular views of the Faroe Islands
Campers were startled by the joy of the Tórshavn campsite, with huge waves crashing against the rocks outside where they parked. Thousands of visitors visit the islands each year to watch, feel and experience the mild North Atlantic summer. However, if you want to experience the playground of the true god of sky and weather, then you are better off traveling to the Faroe Islands in winter.
