Denmark also has people's communes: true communism!

author:Nordic Yubo

A few years ago went to an organic farm open day all over Denmark. The main purpose is to let "urban people" feel the production and living conditions of organic agriculture and animal husbandry. It attracts a large number of tourists, mainly family-based tourists, full of parent-child activities! We chose Svanholm farm, thirty kilometers from home. A bonus from that event was to hear about Danish "commune" culture in Svanholm. Svanholm Storkollektiv (Grand Collective Commune) is a special kind of existence, very similar to the big pot rice and collective commune in China in the sixties and seventies. Members will receive 80% of their full salary! Handed over to the commune, unified management and control by the commune, and then free housing and free meals a day! To put it bluntly, everything that eats is free! If you lack something at home, go to the commune to get it! No more paying!

That day, the whole open explanation was given to the old members who had lived in the commune for more than forty years, and it is estimated that they were at least at the level of the former president! I know the history and current situation of the commune very well, and the explanation is very detailed and thorough, which is an explanation that you usually can't hear with money! Very enjoyable!

The Chinese people's commune is a flash in the pan, but the Danish commune exists like a god, and since its establishment in 1978, it has been operating so smoothly for several generations that it has attracted many governments around the world to send people to visit and see how it works. Especially the Japanese are most interested in it! 分‬期‬分批的‬来‬此‬考察,似乎想‬学‬点‬什么?

In fact, the mode of operation of the commune is, to put it bluntly, a "community of destiny"! The whole people contribute, the more income contributes, the less contributes, even the children contribute volunteer work, go to the canteen to help cook, clean and other work. In fact, many people who listened to the lecture did not understand the commune's model of eating and taking as you pleased, and thought that it was difficult to maintain expenses, but this worry was superfluous! If you want to eat three meals a day, you don't have to open your own gang and you can't get much, at most get some milk, bread, cheese, and sausages to put in your home. And these things are all organic food produced by their own commune.

On the day of the organic farming day, we also bought a lot of commune products, especially sausages and vegetables, which tasted very good! It is very interesting that if the whole family of the commune is going on vacation, there will be a period of time when they do not eat or live in the commune, and the family can fill their car with all the necessities (food) for vacation, fill the trunk of the car, and go on vacation! What an unparalleled communist society!

We also visited the commune's canteen, the Cultural Hall and the Public Assembly Hall. It's not fancy, but it's strong and durable! Commune members also have the right to invite their relatives to come and eat big pots of rice together, and of course food and accommodation are free! Also met two of our former old neighbors that day! The nephew of the old neighbor's grandmother lives in the commune, so she often comes to "visit" and saves herself from cooking at home! The grandmother watched our children grow up since childhood, and they were very cordial when they met, pulled them to the yard and sat for a while, asking this and that, when they heard that the eldest was going to graduate from graduate school, the grandmother even said a few "really"? Very surprised! Time flies so fast! More than 100 people in the commune, like a family! There is food to eat together, and there is something to discuss together. Harmonious coexistence, a true utopian society! This pattern was so important to the childhood, that many years later they entered society and had a very close relationship with the people of the commune. Of course, the commune invites former members to participate in the annual summer gathering and the celebration party after the autumn harvest. Very kind and friendly! In fact, from the data explained by the old members, I can hear that most of the members of the commune are low-income people, and these people maintain a very good living situation in this society in this way of huddling, of course, the managers here are also very important and capable, to deal with the government and the community, and strive for the greatest interests of the commune. The commune itself is also fully open source and throttling to achieve breakeven! On open days, visiting groups, renting public facilities for company meetings and training, and selling their own organic agricultural and animal husbandry products are all sources of income. For example, on that day, it is estimated that most of the members were dispatched, and those who made milk on the spot (made and sold on the spot), those who sold pastries, coffee, rice, agricultural products, and sausages, all of them were commune members! The things are a little more expensive, but we also bought a lot, firstly, they can't be bought in supermarkets, and secondly, they really taste good! It can also be regarded as supporting the development of the commune! We also have a collection of commune pamphlets with a year's activities, such as strawberry picking in May, autumn harvest in September, potatoes, pumpkins and the like! All their activities are very popular! Because there are not many such organizations in Denmark!
