Up to now, the promotion of China's 5G network base stations, mobile phones and various applications is still in full swing.
According to incomplete statistics, China has begun to put into operation 1.86 million 5G base stations, more than 7,000 virtual private networks in the 5G industry have been deployed, more than 500 million end users, and the 5G investment of operators nationwide has exceeded 500 billion yuan.

I don't know if you found it, many people have bought 5G mobile phones, and their homes have already handled 5G broadband, but it seems that the network is not particularly different from 4G, but the package fee is getting more and more expensive. Even if the 5G network is not upgraded, the 4G network will find that the network speed is getting slower and slower. Many users are very dissatisfied with this "expensive tariff" and "forced upgrade of 5G packages" operation, and operators also have their own set of rhetoric, almost the same reply, slow network speed is caused by a variety of factors, completely normal.
For such a reply, don't say that our vast number of consumers do not buy it, even experts and scholars, for this kind of honest cutting leeks can not stand it, at the World 5G Conference, Beihang University Software School founding dean Sun Wei said bluntly in his speech that although the country has invested trillions to build 5G networks, consumers have not really enjoyed the dividends of 5G applications in the terminal. Operators rely on artificially reducing 4G rates, thereby forcing users to replace 5G data packets, which is not the "right way for business".
However, even if users are dissatisfied, operators still force users to replace and upgrade 5G packages through 4G network speed, which is indeed a helpless move. As we all know, 5G base station construction operating costs are high, a base station construction cost alone has to invest 400,000 to 600,000 yuan, and 5G uses millimeter wave, in order to achieve considerable network speed, the number of base stations required in the same operating area is twice that of 4G. At the same time, 5G base stations are even more large electricity users, with a one-year electricity bill of nearly 30,000 yuan, plus necessary maintenance and maintenance, and the cost is naturally rising. Without relying on the majority of users to replace 5G packages and increase 5G tariffs, operators will not even be able to collect the capital, let alone make profits.
In order to allow users to upgrade 5G packages, in addition to some operators promoting "5G networks and giving away new mobile phones", there are more widely used "crooked ideas" to reduce the 4G network rate, so that users themselves can not use 4G, so they have to replace 5G data packets. Even in some areas, in order to save operating costs, operators regularly shut down some 5G base stations, which makes many users who have upgraded 5G packages not use 5G at all, but have to bear the higher package fees for 5G in vain.
Even Lou Jiwei, former minister of finance, previously questioned in an interview that 5G has little meaning for consumers personally, and more applicable scenarios should be in the field of industrial interconnection.
The investment is huge, and 5G landing still has a long way to go
Up to now, the total investment in 5G in the mainland has reached a fairly astonishing number, hundreds of billions of investment like a floor washing, operating costs are extremely high, but there are not enough application scenarios, relying only on user operating fees to maintain such a large and high-cost 5G communication construction, for domestic operators, is a very huge problem.
In the current 5G main application scenario, in the field of consumer terminals, the network speed of mobile phone 4G is fast enough, and the maximum speed can reach 150Mbps, which can fully meet the needs of consumers' daily work and entertainment. The current maximum speed of 5G can reach 1Gbps, which is nothing more than faster when users download high-memory files, in addition, consumers do not have such high-speed network requirements in daily application scenarios.
In addition, the coverage area of the current 5G network is still very limited after all, many remote areas do not cover the 5G network, still can only use the 4G network, even if the 5G network is fast, but it has not reached the level of "flying into ordinary people's homes". Even for new industries such as unmanned driving, remote control, and smart home spawned by 5G, 4G networks are enough to complete the functions currently achieved.
In fact, the main advantages of the 5G field should be applied to the industrial-grade market field of industrial interconnection, but the current 5G network has not reached a sufficiently mature level, and the corresponding application scenarios still cannot be found in the field of industrial interconnection. Of course, in the current situation of advanced construction of 5G in China, there are both risks and opportunities, and it is too early to draw conclusions about the investment and return of 5G industry development, and the huge industrial-grade market in the mainland needs to be continuously cultivated.
However, for operators, it is extremely unfair to let ordinary consumers bear the cost pressure caused by the current 5G advanced construction, especially the various frequency cuts to force users to change 5G packages. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also stated that it will severely restrict and punish some violations of operators. We must also believe that in the near future, with the advancement of science and technology, the industrial scenarios of 5G will be gradually expanded, and the operating fee will become cheaper because of the cost reduction, when 5G will definitely bring more convenience to our daily life.
