There are currently several multinational battle groups in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, which are responsible for defending the eastern territories of NATO allies at all times.

Multinational soldiers deployed in the Estonian battle group are being trained in joint attacks, with British sappers clearing the way and French infantry charging.
