The complete guide to the new Takashima chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online covers everything players need to get started with DLC.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Takashima was released earlier in the summer of 2022, and the months since, which have proven to be a memorable chapter for MMOs (Massively Multiplayer Online Games), have proven to be a memorable chapter. This story differs from many other chapters and DLCs of ESO in that it is a more localized political story than an apocalyptic threat from past years.
In addition to this new questline approach, the Takashima chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online introduces two new companions, new world events, many new dungeons and communal dungeons, and dozens of new armor, antiques, furniture, and decorations. Also hunted. With this complete guide to ESO Takashima chapter, you'll know where to go and how to see all that Takashima has to offer.
Overview of Takashima
The Takashima chapter has tons of new features, and if you're new to ESO, it can be overwhelming to understand all of this. New World events, world bosses, dungeons, public dungeons, armor sets, and tons of decorations are all there. There's even a new card game, a tribute story, and two new companions.
Although the guidance in the introductory section of the Takashima chapter is relatively general, more specific guidance for most of these new systems and mechanisms can be found below. If you're new to the Takashima chapter game, or returning after a while away from ESO, knowing the basics can help you find your way around the Systres Islands.
Tribute stories - cards, patrons and strategies
ESO's Takashima chapter introduces a rather important new system, or rather an activity: Tales of Tribute. Tales of Tribute is a deck-building card game in which two players use the same deck and consist of four decks chosen by each player.
At the beginning of a round, players can choose eight patrons – two for each player. Understanding these patron decks and abilities, which cards work together and which should be avoided, and basic strategies for optimizing your gameplay can help you become a Royster Club legend on your own journey.

Takashima armor set and mythology
There are 10 main new armor sets included in the Base Takashima chapter. Three of them can be crafted at specialized locations throughout Takashima and Amenos, three can be obtained by completing quests and world events in the system, and four can only be found in the Dread Sail Reef trial. As with every expansion in The Elder Scrolls Online, these armors vary greatly in strength.
There are also five new mythical items for players to collect through the use of the antiquities system. Mythical items occupy an equipment slot and offer unique and powerful rewards to the wearer. The Oak Soul Ring is the most famous of Takashima's mythology, but the other four are beyond laughter.

Takashima companions and decorations
The High Island chapter comes with countless new decorations for players to hunt, from Breton and medieval furniture to coastal pets and mounts. Most of these are available with normal progression, but some require advanced craft skills and may be worth a penny.
There are also two new companions in the Takashima chapter – Isabel and Ash – who all have their own unique preferences, dislikes, strengths, and unique quest lines. While you don't necessarily need companions in ESO, they can be helpful when exploring the Overworld or when team members are disconnected in the middle of a dungeon.
