The Commonwealth of Dominica. Consider that the English word "commonwealth" is polysemic.

On 14 January 1994, the General Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a formal document issuing the Notice on Changing the Translated Names of the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the Free Federation of Puerto Rico. The document stated that, on the basis of the views of the experts concerned, the three terms had been retranslated as "Commonwealth of Dominica", "Commonwealth of the Bahamas" and "Commonwealth of Puerto Rico", respectively. Also known as the "Commonwealth of Dominica", it is located in the Caribbean region of North America.

When Columbus sailed to the Americas for the second time, he discovered Dominica, which happened to be Sunday, so he took the name "Dominica", Dominica Spanish means "Sunday, Sabbath".
