In Turkey on Sunday, Beşiktaş fans interrupted their match against Antalya Sport, throwing thousands of teddy bears and stuffed animals onto the pitch from the stands.
This began 4 minutes and 17 seconds into the race, which coincides with the exact time of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on Feb. 6.
The earthquake killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria and left millions homeless in cold conditions.
Before the match, Beşiktaş officials and fans made arrangements on how to implement the massive donation. Before kick-off, toys were placed on empty seats to show concern for the children in the earthquake.
