As the ancestor of the Temple of Confucius, the Temple of Confucius in Qufu, Shandong Province was rebuilt by Duke Lu Wei on the basis of the former residence of Confucius during his lifetime, and has been continuously expanded and repaired by successive dynasties, and has now become an ancient building complex covering an area of more than 200 acres. The famous architect Liang Sicheng once described the Qufu Confucius Temple as "an 'isolated example' in the history of world architecture". In the program, "Lao Dian" Shan Jixiang said that the scale of the Temple of Confucius, the length of its duration, and its endless vitality are actually a large encyclopedia of ancient Chinese architecture. Because it was successively expanded by different dynasties, every text and every brick in the Temple of Confucius can be described as imbued with a thick historical accumulation. During the tour, Lao Shan frankly said that the coiled dragon pillar in front of the Dacheng Hall of the Temple of Confucius did not even have the Forbidden City, and its high specifications were evident.

In order to preserve this nearly 2,500-year-old history, the restoration team of the Sankong Ancient Building brought together skilled craftsmen from all over the country, and the restoration of a pillar alone involved 20 processes. Among them, the repair material called "one hemp and five ashes" made Tong Liya puzzled, and the sentence "What kind of hemp is hemp?" What kind of ash is gray? "It's hard for professionals to describe it in one or two sentences. How did the restoration team restore the building while preserving its original appearance?

In order to show their respect for Confucius, successive emperors have continuously given rewards, resulting in a large number of cultural relics passed down by Confucius, including national treasures such as the "Ten Offerings of Shang Zhou". In the program, Zhang Xiaolong and Niu Junfeng also came to the Confucius Museum to learn about the Yansheng Gonggong costumes under the leadership of Xu Ran, director of the Confucius Old Tibetan Costume Research Center, and closely observed the newly restored Yansheng Gongji costumes.
