"Mistakes must be corrected" and regardless of the size of the position, Vietnam has done it

Dereliction of duty is also a mistake, political responsibility is also responsibility, no matter how big or small the official position, mistakes must be corrected, this is the responsibility to the country and the people, but also the maintenance of the system, in this regard, Vietnam has done it.

According to the Global Times, citing the Vietnam News Agency, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam held a meeting on the 17th to approve Nguyen Xuan Phuc's resignation as President of Vietnam, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee.

As for Nguyen Xuan Phuc's resignation and the reasons for his approval by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam described the following in the meeting report: The meeting pointed out that Nguyen Xuan Phuc has made great efforts and achieved important results in leading, guiding and managing the prevention and control of the new crown epidemic. However, when the two vice premiers and a number of officials committed violations of the law, causing serious consequences, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc was deeply aware of his responsibility to the party and the people, and applied for resignation, resignation from his job and retirement.

"Mistakes must be corrected" and regardless of the size of the position, Vietnam has done it

From this description in the report of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, it is not difficult to interpret the content of three aspects: (1) Nguyen Xuan Phuc applied for his resignation because he took "political responsibility" for the "violations" of several Vietnamese government officials during the epidemic prevention period. It is a voluntary resignation. (2) Judging from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam affirming Nguyen Xuan Phuc's contribution and achievements in leading defense work, Nguyen Xuan Phuc was only responsible for leadership and political responsibility in this "violation" incident in Vietnam, which had serious consequences. (3) The approval of Nguyen Xuan Phuc's resignation application, who holds a high position and has made important contributions to Vietnam's reform and opening up, is sufficient to demonstrate the determination of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam to safeguard the "authority of the system".

A core member of the Communist Party, Nguyen Xuan Phuc served as prime minister from 2016 to 2021, and was previously president of Vietnam and chairman of the defense and security committee (equivalent to the commander-in-chief of the national armed forces) before resigning, as well as the head of the steering committee for judicial reform. Obviously, the bit is high weight.

In terms of his position, during these years, Nguyen Xuan Phuc not only led Vietnam's economic work and state affairs, but also led judicial reform. It is obvious that it has made important contributions to the rapid development of Vietnam's economy and the deepening of innovation and opening up in recent years.

"Mistakes must be corrected" and regardless of the size of the position, Vietnam has done it

In recent years, Vietnam's GDP growth rate has been among the highest in the world, and this year it is among the highest in the world with a GDP growth rate of 8%. In addition, due to the large scale of innovation and opening up in Vietnam and the remarkable results of judicial reform, its investment environment has been widely recognized. Therefore, in terms of attracting foreign investment, Vietnam has a growth rate comparable to India, and has the praise of low-end products "the factory of the world". Obviously, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, who is mainly responsible for these tasks, has made a great contribution.

The fact that Nguyen Xuan Phuc, a high-ranking and accomplished person, had to resign simply because he had leadership and political responsibility in two "corruption cases" shows that "there is no no-go zone against corruption" in Vietnam is not an empty phrase.

In fact, before Nguyen Xuan Phuc's resignation, two Vietnamese deputy prime ministers and three ministers had resigned or been removed from office for "violations", of which two ministers and several officials had been criminally punished.

At the 2nd Special Session of the 15th National Assembly on January 5, Deputy Prime Ministers Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dang were removed by Vietnamese National Assembly deputies with a high margin of 95 percent. So, what is the nature of the "case" that led to the resignation and dismissal of Vietnam's three "Zheng Guo" and "Vice National" leaders, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dong?

Speaking of which, these two "corruption cases" are related to the epidemic. One is the case of "government-business collusion" during the epidemic, and the other is the case of "evacuating overseas Chinese and asking for bribes". The general situation of the "government-business collusion case" is that in June last year, Vietnam's Yueya Technology Company's "bid up the price of nucleic acid testing" was exposed, which involved a number of Vietnamese government officials who cooperated with the "price inflated" of merchants because of "profits". As a result, the Minister of Health of Viet Nam was ousted and his assistants arrested.

Another general situation of the "evacuation of overseas Chinese and bribery case" is that during the epidemic prevention and control period, a number of diplomatic officials of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs wantonly "asked for and accepted bribes" during the "charter flight evacuation" operation. For this, the Vietnamese foreign minister was punished, and a number of diplomats from embassies and consulates abroad were punished.

Obviously, both corruption cases occurred due to the epidemic and epidemic prevention and control. As a result, Vice Premier Wu Deyun, in charge of epidemic prevention and control, and Vice Premier Pham Binh Minh, in charge of foreign affairs and executive affairs, were dismissed.

Objectively speaking, the Vietnamese government's handling of these two corruption cases is open and transparent, and its strength is enough to describe it as "shocking". Regardless of the size of the position, if you "make a mistake", even if it is only "leadership responsibility" or "political responsibility", you must resign, because it is in the interests of the country and the people. The "power platform" given by the people allows you to serve the country and the people, not to give you "trial and error". So far, it seems that Vietnam has done it.
