#Foreign Military Video# At the end of last year, the United States conducted training in Australia for nuclear submarines to load Tomahawk cruise missiles. On November 29 last year, a U.S. C-17 transport aircraft flew from Guam to Pierce Base in Western Australia carrying a Tomahawk cruise missile to support missile loading training conducted by the Royal Australian Navy and the United States Navy on the Virginia-class Mississippi attack nuclear submarine (SSN 782). Members of the East Asia Division of the U.S. Naval Ammunition Command (NMC EAD), Australian Navy personnel and Thales Australian bomb disposal technicians in Guam load cruise missiles for the USS Mississippi submarine in December. Australia plans to equip its navy with nuclear-powered submarines.
