From January 19 to January 23, the Cherry Blossom Festival will be held in the Lemay area of Jingdong Township, eastern Shan State, Myanmar. This is the second time that the cherry blossom festival has been held in Jingdong, and the event will last for five days.

From the beginning of January, cherry blossoms bloom near the Buddhist temple of Sedummingla, the base of Mount Flamel. Cherry blossoms are synonymous with romance, and even the breeze wafts a faint floral fragrance when you look at the mountains full of cherry blossoms. Under the cherry blossom trees, the castle has become a romantic city.

The main purpose of this cherry blossom festival is to develop the tourism industry in the Flamel area and protect the cherry blossoms planted locally. During the event, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the organizers plan to hold song and dance performances, including local ethnic minority dances in Shan State.

In addition, at the cherry blossom festival event, there will be a gourmet specialty area and a cherry blossom festival exhibition hall, where residents can enjoy the cherry blossoms and taste local specialties and learn about the origin of cherry blossoms in the Flamel region.
