Football agent Paulo Barbosa answered 'SE' questions about striker Cristiano Ronaldo's future in the Portuguese national team.

"He'd rather make a lot of money, but he understands it comes at a price. I suspect he will be called up to the national team once he starts playing in Saudi Arabia. We have this unspoken rule. Players who play in the UAE or Saudi Arabia are unlikely to be called up for the national team. It's a different football and a different intensity," Barbosa told SE.

Earlier, Al-Nasr announced a transfer to the 37-year-old Portuguese. Al Arabiya TV reported that Ronaldo signed a two-season contract with Al-Nasr.

Ronaldo has been a free agent since November 22, 2022. The footballer's last team was Manchester United. After a scandalous interview with journalist Piers Morgan, he left the British band. This season, the player has made 16 appearances for United, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
