Macao coins with traditional Chinese culture "Fu, Lu, Shou, Fish and Dragon" symbolize happiness, prosperity and longevity.
This set of coins is the second set of coins issued in Macao in January 1982, and the denominations are one milli, two milli, wu hao, one yuan and ng yuan. The obverse of the coin depicts Fu (一milli), Lu (贰milli), Shou (Wu Hao), Double Carp (一壹元), and Dragon (Wu Yuan).
The coin is made of red copper and nickel alloy, the double carp means "more than every year, representing a prosperous life", and the dragon represents the totem of the Chinese nation.
Minted in Singapore, this set of coins uses a multi-layered concave and convex design and advanced craftsmanship technology to make the coin pattern delicate and distinct.
This set of coins was issued and circulated from 1982 until Macao's handover in 1999. It is a very unique set of coins in Macau and is loved by numismatic collectors.
