The United States interfered in the diplomatic sovereignty of Honduras, and this time the soft and hard means were all on board! Honduran Foreign Minister Reina released a rumor some time ago that he wanted to promote relations with China, of course, what he actually refers to was the "severance of diplomatic relations" with the Taiwan region. However, 10 days later, the United States sent a heavyweight delegation to Honduras, which was menacing and had the taste of interrogating the Honduran government. On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Uzra Zeya led a delegation to Honduras for a Strategic and Human Rights Dialogue with the Honduran government. The following areas were addressed: anti-corruption, investment and job creation, immigration management, security, labour rights, gender-based violence, etc.

Unexpectedly, however, Laura Richardson, commander-in-chief of U.S. Southern Command, and Marcela Escobari, U.S. Agency for International Development's regional director for Latin America (Figure 4). Of course, they need to be present, because the issue of illegal immigration involves both sectors. However, in a relatively sensitive period, especially when Honduras' relations with the United States are not smooth, even the commander-in-chief has arrived, which means something else. In short, the United States has been interfering with Honduras' diplomatic sovereignty, and this time, it is very obvious that both hard and soft have been used. However, I still predict that there will be a big move in Honduras in the near future.
