Vučić pulled back a round! Nine countries have withdrawn their recognition of Kosovo, and Serbia has ushered in the best time

The secession of Kosovo has always been a bitter pain in Serbia's heart, and recently, the sudden attack of the Kosovo authorities has brought the situation back into tension. At the critical moment, Vučić pulled back a game, nine countries withdrew their recognition of Kosovo, and the number of countries that do not recognize Kosovo's so-called independence has further increased to 106.

Nine countries revoke recognition of Kosovo's "independence"

According to Serbian pink TV, recently, Serbian President Vučić announced that Somalia, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Eswatini, Libya, Guinea, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia and Maldives nine countries withdrew their recognition of Kosovo's "independence".

Vučić mentioned that there are 106 countries worldwide that do not recognize Kosovo's independence, 84 countries recognize and 3 countries do not fully recognize it. At present, only five EU countries do not recognize Kosovo's "independence": Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Greece and Cyprus. But a larger number of EU member states are still on the opposite side of Serbia over Kosovo.

In the past, the West's single-handedly manipulated Yugoslavia to turn against each other, and in 1999, NATO, which was gaining momentum, even bombed the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In the third decade of the 21st century, the Kosovo issue has become a scar on Serbia's heart, and it is still facing great practical difficulties in bypassing the intervention of the United States and the West to recover Kosovo and achieve reunification.

Previously, under the mediation of the Trump administration, the Serbian side has reached a concession agreement with the Kosovo authorities, but the Kosovo authorities are still expanding the space to encroach on Serbia with the support of the United States and the West. The announcement of the withdrawal of recognition by the nine countries is undoubtedly good news for Serbia, not only that, but Vučić also revealed that the tenth country will withdraw its recognition soon.

The winds of the international community have changed, and Cyprus ushered in an excellent opportunity

Although the mainstream of international politics and public opinion is still dominated by the West, the world today is no longer a world dominated by the West, and the world should hear the voices of more countries. For Serbia, seeking a transformation from the West is important, but it is equally important to have the support and recognition of other non-Western countries. Gaining more international support and resolutely defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity on the Kosovo issue, Vučić, as President of Serbia, has been working to convey this basic demand to the world through diplomatic channels.

As more and more countries withdraw their recognition of Kosovo's "independence", this trend is expected to form a "domino effect" and open up a completely new situation for the reunification of Serbia.
