(一)Geistlich Bio-Oss®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Geistlich Bio-Oss®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Geistlich Bio-Oss is a bone filling material product, which uses inorganic salt materials extracted from bovine bone, suitable for filling periodontal bone defects and maxillofacial surgical bone defects. The inorganic bone matrix of the filling material has a macroscopic and microscopic porous structure similar to that of human porous bone, and the connected porous structure and its natural components promote the formation and growth of new bone. In addition, Geistlich Bio-Oss® improves the survival rate of the implant, is easy to use, and subsequently uses the Geistlich Bio-Gide® collagen membrane to achieve undisturbed regeneration in the bone enhancement area.

(二)Geistlich Bio-Oss Pen®

The Geistlich Bio-Oss Pen® is a pre-filled syringe containing Geistlich-Bio-Os® granules. The curved applicator tip of the Geistlich Bio-Oss Pen® makes it easy to reach and transplant bone defects in hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. The pen applicator is designed to be controlled when Geistlich Bio-Oss® particles are released.

(三)Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Geistlich Bio-Oss® collagen consists of 90% Geistlich-Bio-Os® granules and 10% porcine collagen. Due to the low absorption rate of the material, Geistlich Bio-Oss collagen can maintain volume stability for a long time, improve clinical attachment and pocket depth in periodontal surgery, and has the ability to regenerate periodontal attachment devices in intrabony defects®. Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen collagen bone is mainly used for the following indications: alveolar ridge preservation, small area bone augmentation, and periodontal regeneration. Collagen blocks are absorbed after a few weeks and are not a substitute for the barrier effect of the barrier membrane.

(四)Geistlich Bio-Gide®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Geistlich Bio-Gide®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Geistlich Bio-Gide® is a collagen membrane that enables bone regeneration and tissue integration. Geistlich-Bio-Gite's® natural collagen structure allows for rapid, uniform vascularization for optimal tissue fusion and wound stabilization. Geistlich Bio-Gide® has a bilayer structure, with a smooth cell isolation layer forming a natural barrier that blocks the invasion of connective tissue cells, prevents soft tissue growth into defects, and acts as a scaffold for fibroblast attachment. The rough porous layer of Geistlich Bio-Gide® serves as the skeleton for bone cells and blood vessels. It is often used with bone filling materials such as Geistlich Bio-Oss and Geistlich Bio-Oss®®Collagen.

Geistlich Mucograft®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Geistlich Mucograft®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Geistlich Mucograft® is a resorbable collagen flap suitable for the expansion of oral soft tissue, used for alveolar ridge reconstruction in restorative treatment, enlargement of local gums, increase keratinized tissue around teeth and implants, guide tissue regeneration of tooth roots covering atrophic defects, etc. Geistlich Mucograft has a two-layer structure: one is a dense structure composed of collagen tightly bound to protect the wound in an open healing environment and allow tissue attachment to create conditions for wound healing. The second structure consists of thick and porous collagen thick sponge scaffolds that are applied to the surface of the tissue.

(六)Geistlich Fibro Gide®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Geistlich Fibro Gide®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Geistlich Fibro Gide® is a porous, absorbable and volumetrically stable collagen matrix designed for soft tissue regeneration as an alternative to autologous connective tissue grafts (CTGs). The collagen matrix is made from recombinant collagen that is intelligently chemically crosslinked to improve its volume stability while maintaining good biocompatibility. The Geistlich Fibro Gide® porous network supports angiogenesis, the formation of new connective tissue, and the stability of the collagen network in deep healing. In vivo animal models have shown that Geistlich Fibro Gide® binds well to surrounding soft tissue while remaining stable.

(vii) Orthoss®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Orthoss®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Orthoss® is a bioengineered bone graft alternative that closely resembles the inorganic components of human bone tissue. It is an apatite that resembles the structure of the mineral phase of human bones. Orthoss® has a unique pore structure consisting of micropores and macropores. Acts as a conduit for the elements needed for bone regeneration, including blood. In addition, Orthoss®' interconnected pore system and high porosity result in an internal surface area significantly larger than other available bone graft alternatives, with multiple orthopedic applications and structures that support bone regeneration.

Orthoss® Collagen

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(Orthoss® Collagen)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

Orthoss® collagen is a high-purity natural bone mineral characterized by a bimodal pore structure of micropores and macropores with high interconnectivity. This structure gives Orthoss collagen a large surface area, wettability and fluid retention ability that binds® to natural collagen for bone regeneration. Cancellous bone mineral granules provide a bone-conductive matrix for bone regeneration. Natural collagen makes this composite malleable. The collagen portion of the material can be absorbed within 1-3 months. At the same time, the slow absorption rate of the mineral scaffold provides a protective environment for intraosseous growth and maintains volume.

(ix) AMIC® Chondro-Gide®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(FRIEND®Chondro-Gide®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

AMIC®Chondro-Gide® is a minimally invasive one-step surgery, a treatment for joint cartilage injuries that can be performed by small open surgery or arthroscopic modality to repair cartilage or osteochondral defects in the knee, talus and hip joints. AMIC®Chondro-Gide® supports the body's self-healing potential, removing damaged cartilage and then using bone marrow stimulation (BMS) technology to bring regenerative support cells to the site of the defect. Biocompatible gum raw materials provide an environment for cell growth and are replaced over time by new cartilage tissue.

(10) AMMR®

Bone Regeneration: The Swiss Gei's Story

(AMMR®)

(Source: Geistlich official website)

In the total internal technique, arthroscopic matrix-based meniscal repair (AMMR) wraps the meniscus® in Chondro-Gide®. The smooth surface of the collagen membrane points to the joint surface, and its rough, porous side points to the meniscus surface. The membrane is fixed to the meniscus and the bone marrow aspirate is injected into the space between the membrane and the meniscus. In this protected "biological chamber", additional biological factors support the healing process.
