On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film series, Omega has launched its latest special edition watch to commemorate the 60th anniversary edition of the British Secret Service figure, Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond.
Inspired by the same Seamaster worn by Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye in 1995, this 42mm stainless steel watch features a unique mechanism in the form of a Bond silhouette and a rotating barrel design visible through the case back. This vibrant scene is presented underneath sapphire glass decorated with microstructural metallization. Since the patent-pending "Ripple" effect animation is associated with the operation of the central seconds hand of the "Lollipop", it is always running.
Equipped with a helium exhaust valve, this watch is powered by the 8806 coaxial chronometer calibre and has a power reserve of up to 55 hours. It is presented on a mesh bracelet that embodies the style of James Bond wearing an Omega watch in No Time to Die.
Both the bezel and dial are made of blue oxalate anodized aluminum, the dial features signature laser-engraved waves, and the bezel features a white super luminous diving scale. As a tribute to the commemorative date, the "60" replaces the triangle on the bezel that is usually at the 12 o'clock position.

In addition to the former, Omega has also launched a second special edition with its own unique attributes. As the name suggests, Seahorse Diver 300M James Bond 60th Anniversary Edition Canopus Gold features a white gold alloy of the same name, known for its shiny shine and enduring beauty. In homage to the sandy beaches of Ian Fairing's Jamaican hometown of Golden Eye, the dial is made of natural gray silicon. Thanks to the crystallite structure, the pattern of each dial is unique.
Referencing the flag of Jamaica, the bezel is set with garland green and yellow-treated natural diamonds in ten different tropical hues, from deep forest green to cognac to olive, yellow, gold and gold. Two transparent diamonds mark the 12 o'clock position. This watch is powered by the coaxial chronometer calibre 8807.
