Snow-covered Altyn
The Altyn No Man's Land refers to the area south of the Altyn Mountains to the Altyn National Nature Reserve.
The Altun Mountains are the boundary mountains of the Tarim Basin and the Qaidam Basin, with an average altitude of more than 4,500 meters, and are home to numerous glaciers, from which the Ruoqiang and Milan rivers originate. Altyn National Nature Reserve, adjacent to the Qiangtang and Kekexili, is surrounded by the Kunlun Mountains and the Qiman Tag Mountains.
Among the four uninhabited areas, Altyn's landscape and biodiversity are exceptional.
The vertical landforms range from alpine permanent ice and snow belt, cold lichen belt, mat-like vegetation - alpine desert soil belt, alpine cold meadow - alpine meadow soil belt, subalpine cold temperate steppe and finally to mountain temperate grassland, which is not difficult to understand why there are more than 200 kinds of plants and more than 300 kinds of wild animals.
Although it is a forbidden area for human life, it is a paradise for all kinds of rare wildlife. They are the masters here, and there are dozens of first-class and second-class protected animals.
"Plateau, diversity", this is Alguin's interpretation.
