Sichuan opera "Sister Jiang"
Sichuan opera "Sister Jiang" is based on the novel "Red Rock" and starring the famous Sichuan opera performance artist Shen Tiemei. The play digs deep into the rich connotation of the spirit of Hongyan, organically integrates content such as "Eight Articles in Prison" into the plot, and gives the work a high spiritual value.
The play uses traditional opera forms, expressed in Sichuan dialect, interpreted in Sichuan opera, and artistizes and emotionalizes the heroic deeds of Hongyan represented by Sister Jiang, which is a perfect fusion of Chongqing's excellent local traditional opera culture and revolutionary spirit.
On the eve of the liberation of Chongqing, Sister Jiang, an underground member of the CPC, walked from Chaotianmen to Huaying Mountain in accordance with organizational arrangements. On the way, learning the bad news that her husband had sacrificed his life for the revolution, she turned her grief into strength and became more determined to fight against the enemy.
Later, he was betrayed by traitors and unfortunately arrested and imprisoned in the Zatudong concentration camp. Tortured and coerced by the enemy, she was firm in her beliefs, awe-inspiring in righteousness, and finally heroically became righteous, composing a hymn of revolutionary heroism.
