The Austria competition, held from 23 to 27, was the final stop of the WorldSkills 2022 Special Competition, with 7 projects including electrical installation, masonry, concrete construction, industrial control, chemical laboratory technology, heavy vehicle maintenance and freight forwarding, attracting a total of 100 participants from 38 countries and regions. After fierce competition, Chinese athletes stood out in all the competitions they participated in, winning 6 gold medals and 1 bronze medal, marking the perfect end to the journey of this year's WorldSkills Special Competition.

WorldSkills is known as the "WorldSkills Olympics", and its competitive level represents the world's advanced level of today's vocational skills development. The WorldSkills 2022 Special Tournament was held in 15 countries from September to November. With the end of the Austrian competition, all 62 events of the WorldSkills 2022 Special Competition have come to an end. The Chinese delegation won a total of 21 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals and 5 meritorious awards in 34 sports, ranking first in the gold medal list, and the total number of gold medals set a new record in a single competition, demonstrating the pragmatic, persevering and meticulous craftsmanship of the young generation in China.

The Chinese team achieved a breakthrough of gold medals or "zero" medals in many events in this year's WorldSkills Special Competition, won gold for the first time in beauty, furniture making, freight forwarding, heavy vehicle maintenance, chemical laboratory technology, plastering and partition wall systems, and won medals for the first time in website design and development.

In terms of traditional strengths, the Chinese team continues to show absolute strength: Zhou Chujie of Guangdong Mechanical Technician College achieved the "four consecutive championships" for the Chinese team in CNC milling projects, Wu Yuanzhou of China Construction 5th Bureau Advanced Technical School and Dong Qing of Hunan Arts and Crafts Vocational College achieved "three consecutive championships" for the Chinese team in masonry projects and fashion technology projects, respectively.

Jiang Xinhua, a student at Ningbo Technician College, won the first gold medal of the Chinese team in a heavy vehicle maintenance project. After winning the award, he told reporters that he was very proud of the Chinese team to achieve a breakthrough and stand on the highest podium wearing the national flag, and felt that all the hardships and efforts during the preparation were worth it.
