#EntertainmentAwards#Buckingham Palace ended the centuries-old tradition of abolishing the position of handmaiden and announcing six noble assistants who would all be loyal to Queen Camilla: Sarah Trauton and Jane von Westonholz, interior designers Fiona Langston, Lady Catherine Brooke and Conservative aristocrat Baroness Karin Chisholm; Sixth is Camilla's close friend Mrs Sarah Keswick, whose husband Sir Chipps Keswick retired from the position of president of Arsenal Football Club in 2020.
The assistants will receive a symbolic fee equal to that of the handmaids. All these women were in the inner circle of kings and queens and were considered the monarch's oldest and most loyal friends.
