Ruifen applied to join the group, NATO only two countries did not approve it, Hungary promised a deadline, Turkey depends on the action

In May, two Nordic countries, Sweden and Finland, applied to join NATO for "security reasons." Today, only two of NATO's 30 members have yet to ratify Turkey and Hungary. At present, Hungary has set a deadline, and Turkey will depend on the actions of both countries. Hungarian Prime Minister Viking Orban recently announced that the country will approve Finland and Sweden to join NATO in early 2023, according to reports from the Observer Network. Turkey has always said that Turkey will only approve it if the two countries take concrete actions to implement the agreement "not supporting the PKK".

It was observed that Sweden and Finland jointly applied for NATO membership, and after both submitted their applications, they received strong support from the United States, and Western countries led by the United States, even before Sweden and Finland became official members of NATO, decided to protect them militarily, and a large number of NATO ships entered the Baltic Sea, focusing on protecting Sweden and Finland to ensure that their accession to NATO would not be interrupted.

However, it should be pointed out that according to NATO regulations, joining NATO requires the unanimous consent of all NATO countries, and now NATO has 30 members, and before Prime Minister Orban announced that he would approve Sweden and Finland early next year, the 28 NATO countries had given the green light to Sweden and Finland.

That is to say, a huge NATO, there are only two countries that have not ratified it, one is Hungary, although Orban did not immediately approve it, but at least for a while, there are basically no variables; Another country, Turkey, has conditions for the Ankara government.

In fact, Turkey has always been opposed and resistant to Sweden and Finland's accession to NATO, mainly for two reasons.

On the one hand, the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO will seriously damage Russia's national security, although this has nothing to do with Turkey, Turkey itself is a NATO country, but President Erdogan can block Sweden and Finland from joining NATO, to show favor to Russia, in exchange for more energy, technology and weapons.

Therefore, whether it is sincerely opposed or pretending, Turkey has expressed opposition to the "joining the group" of Sweden and Finland from the beginning, and Erdogan even stressed that as long as he is alive, these two countries have no chance.

On the other hand, Turkey opposes it because these two countries are completely small followers of the United States, and follow the United States to develop relations with the Kurds, and the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Kurdish armed forces are Turkey's "life-and-death enemies", the former has long been recognized as a terrorist organization by the Turkish government, and the latter is also the target of the Turkish army in northern Syria and Iraq.

Since Sweden and Finland and the Kurds are eyeing each other, allowing them to recruit, raise funds, and even organize training in Sweden and Finland is, of course, against Turkey, it is normal that Turkey does not want to let go when they apply to join NATO.

But it should be emphasized that although NATO is a military bloc composed of 30 countries, the United States occupies an absolute advantage, so Turkey cannot bite hard, resolutely disagree that it is not okay, for fear of retaliation by Big Brother, and will also be isolated by other NATO members. That's why Turkey submitted a submission to Sweden and Finland, specifically, to cut off the "ambiguous" ties with the Kurds, identify them as terrorists, and no longer support them.

At present, it depends on whether Sweden and Finland agree to Turkey's request, and if not, Turkey's firm opposition is also justified. It is believed that at the time when Sweden and Finland are about to join NATO, Turkey will also make full use of this opportunity to have close contact with Russia to see if it can find more treasures.
