The mountains of St. Lucia have a humid climate and pristine scenery. The 230-meter-high mountain is a cone-shaped hill, which is now built as a mountain-based building and exquisite garden. At the entrance at the foot of the mountain there is a crimson palace-like gate. Nearby stands a statue of a hero of the Indian war against colonial rule. Winding down the curved stone steps, there are ancient churches from 1874, a bronze lantern illuminated on a small platform on the mountainside, and the American Museum of Folk Art on the hillside. At the top of the hill is a seven-pointed castle, from which you can overlook the city. Near the castle, there are winding rockeries and flying fountains, and the scenery is beautiful. The Atacama Desert is the driest place on Earth, with no birds flying over it and only a trans-American highway across the desert. On both sides of the road, there are only sunburned rocks and gravel, and sand dunes that migrate with the wind. The desert is located in the coastal plateau of northern Chile, extending nearly 1,000 kilometers, some areas are 900 meters above sea level, the area is the size of the United Kingdom, and there are no bays. 96 kilometers from the shore is the cold and windy foothills of the Andes. Although the desert is quiet and empty, it is not lifeless. The crescent-shaped sand dunes migrate with the wind, disappear and form again.

At the southern end of the Andes, stand two striking grey-red peaks covered with black slate. These two peculiar peaks are 2,545 meters above sea level and overlook the Patagonian steppe and are part of the Paine Mountains of southern Chile. In addition to the horn peaks, there are other peculiar peaks. Not far from the Horn Peak, there are three steep peaks called Pineta. The granite peaks here are the product of several volcanoes in the Andes. After the volcanic lava solidifies underground, the granite layer rises due to changes in the earth's crust, turning the original local surface slate into a peak. Glacier erosion has resulted in the curved slopes of horn peaks and steep walls of stone towers.
