On November 19, at the opening ceremony of the Nanchang Annual Conference of the China Ecological Civilization Forum, Qihe County was officially awarded the license by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment as the sixth batch of "green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains" practice and innovation bases. Previously, Qihe County has been selected as a national ecological civilization construction demonstration zone and one of the top ten ecological civilization counties in Shandong Province, contributing to the realization of green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

Focusing on adding green energy, creating a green ecological corridor of the Baili Yellow River, more than 100 parks and amusement parks have been built, becoming the first county-level international garden city in Shandong Province, and the 10,000 mu of forest and sea in the east of the city can conserve 390,000 cubic meters of water sources, absorb 316,000 tons of carbon dioxide, produce 230,000 tons of oxygen, and suck 7,600 tons of dust, making the county's "green lung" more abundant.
