At 1 a.m. Beijing time on November 17, Germany and Oman met in an international friendly football match. In the first half, Mukoko shot into the post and Phil Kruger scored the winning goal in his national debut in the second half, as Germany narrowly beat Oman 1-0.

The match was the second time in the history of the two teams, with Germany last playing Oman in a friendly match in February 1998, when Germany won 2-0 away to Oman.

It was Phil Kruger's first goal for the national team and it was his debut for the German national team.
