"Ma Xiaofei" in "Railway Guard", a typical representative of special agents

author:One entertainment, one fun and one gossip

Speaking of the anti-special movie "Railway Guard" released in 1960, many middle-aged and elderly friends are very familiar. The film tells the story of the failure of the US imperialist plot to bomb the Yalu River Bridge during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and sent special agent Ma Xiaofei to sneak into the northeast and collude with hidden enemy special elements Wu Jichun and Wang Manli in an attempt to blow up the Changling Tunnel. In order to find out the enemy's plot, Gao Jian, section chief of the Public Security Bureau, pretended to be a special agent arrested by me, "Gu Xian" to break into the enemy's special forces. At the last moment, after a fierce fight between Gao Jian and special agent Ma Xiaofei on the train, they eliminated the time bomb that Ma Xiaofei had placed on the military train, allowing the military train to pass through the Changling Tunnel smoothly.

Ma Xiaofei, a special agent sent by the US Far Eastern Intelligence Agency and a special commissioner of the Kuomintang Secret Bureau, is an important character in the film and a character very familiar to the majority of fans.

Ma Xiaofei is quite eye-catching as soon as he appears in the film: a white shirt with a tie, a lapel leather jacket, and a decent gentleman.

Everyone must not forget the plot of Ma Xiaofei who just came to China and connected with Wang Manli on the train: Ma Xiaofei saw Wang Manli and issued a secret message: "I asked for another bottle of beer and a glass of wine." Wang Manli was startled, and said to the code: "Yes! A bottle of beer, a glass of wine..." In the corridor outside the dining car, Wang Manli caught up with Ma Xiaofei: "Comrade! Your cigarette case is lost. Ma Xiaofei took the cigarette case and said in a low voice: "Mr. Li Zinan asked me to say hello to you." Wang Manli asked, "Your surname?" Ma Xiaofei replied: "The surname is Ma, see you at Nanshan Park at eight o'clock in the evening on the 4th..."

"Ma Xiaofei", played by the famous actor Luo Tai in Changying, "Railway Guard" is a masterpiece of Luo Tai's acting career, he successfully portrayed Ma Xiaofei in the film, the scheming and ruthless image became synonymous with bad guys for a while.

From Luo Tai's portrayal of Ma Xiaofei, it can be seen that the actor's skills are superb, for example, the ruthlessness when killing his deputy with one shot, the "carelessness" when connecting with Wang Manli, the embarrassment of the face when writing the "special" character of the spy to the children, and the fierce appearance when fighting life and death with Gao Jian on the train, all prove this.

Luo Tai (1924-2005), formerly known as Chen Zhen, was a native of Xiamen, Fujian. After graduating from primary school, he joined the Xiamen Children's Rescue Troupe. In 1939, he went to the apprenticeship training class of the First Aircraft Repair Plant (Guilin) and worked as an air force ground staff. After the end of the Anti-Japanese War, he went to Hong Kong to participate in the Jianguo Drama Society. In 1946, he returned to the mainland to participate in the second Peiping drama team, and the famous director Cai Chusheng changed his name to "Luo Tai", and soon defected to the Jidong Liberated Area.

In 1948, Luo Tai joined the East Film Studio and successively participated in the filming of "The Invisible Front" (as special agent Zhou Shaomei) and "Zhao Yiman" (as the chief of the judicial section)

In 1950, he was transferred to the Film Script Writing Institute of the Central Film Bureau to specialize in writing, and wrote scripts such as "Dove of Peace", "So Much Amorous", and "Unfinished Comedy". It is a pity that when he wrote "The Unfinished Comedy" with Lu Banlian, he was wrongly classified as a rightist. Because he is a co-ordinator and handles internal contradictions, scripts and the like cannot be written, and the play can also be reversed, so there is the enemy Tema Xiaofei in "Railway Guard".

During the Cultural Revolution, Luo Tai was forced to suspend his artistic creation, and after the end of ten years of turmoil, Luo Tai successively directed some feature films, the more influential ones are: "Little Characters" (in collaboration with others), "Small Town Spring and Autumn", "Dragon Species", "Speeding Car Family" and so on.

Mr. Luo Tai can be described as an all-rounder in the film industry, he not only starred in movies, but also worked as a choreographer in movies. In terms of "editing", he has written "Dove of Peace", "So Much Love", "Unfinished Comedy", "Small Town Spring and Autumn" and so on; In terms of "directing", he has directed "Unquenchable Flame", "Little Characters", "Spring and Autumn in a Small Town", "Dragon Species", "The First Story of the Storm", "Stubborn Father-in-law and Daughter-in-law", "Speeding Family" and so on. He has also done makeup for "Back to Your Team" and so on. In that sense, he is a generalist, a writer-director all-rounder.

Among them, the film "Little Characters" co-directed by Luo Tai and Wang Jiayi won the 1979 Excellent Film Award of the Ministry of Culture.

Luo Tai's wife is Changying voice actor Sun Zhongzhi, Sun was born in Muping, Shandong in 1928, and was admitted to the fourth cadre training class of Dongying in 1948, and later served as a Dongying voice actor.

Speaking of Sun Zhongzhi, netizens who like voice actors are no strangers, and she can be regarded as a member of the ranks of the first batch of dubbing actors in the first batch of translated films in New China. Mr. Sun has dubbed many films, such as Alyosha's mother in "Conquering Berlin", her mother in "My Childhood", Maria in "Mountain War", Mrs. Mamen in "Professor Mamen" and so on. During the Cultural Revolution, he went to work in the countryside and had problems with his vocal cords due to illness. But in the future, she can still enjoy her dubbing in films such as "Butterfly Dream" Mrs. Beatles and Baroness "The Missing Woman", and she has dubbed at least 200 translated films in her lifetime, and also dubbed dozens of domestic films.

In 2005, Mr. Luo Tai died at the age of 81.
