From the perspective of institutional background, 985/211 accounts for 78%, double non-ordinary accounts for nearly 20%, and the average score of double non-students is between 80-85, which may be mainly the reason for the admission of the spring program. It can be seen that double non-students + average score have no advantage and want to go ashore NTU, it is better to consider the next spring project. The number of applicants for the spring program is small, the competition is not so fierce, and the new second school itself has opened many spring programs.

It is worth mentioning that HKUST has also opened many spring programs, including mechanical, civil, environmental, intelligent technology, and global China studies. Compared with NTU's spring program, which ends in August, HKUST's spring program ends in early November, providing students with options during this time period. If the working party or the GAP party wants to leave early, then HKUST can also consider it in the spring.
University of Hong Kong
HKU currently has six fellowships, mainly in civil engineering, literature and cultural studies. At present, the students admitted to civil engineering are all 985 backgrounds, and the 2 students admitted to literary and cultural studies are from 211 universities, and there are no non-students for the time being. Among the 6 students, only one student from Shandong University has a GPA of 82.88, and the rest are above 85. It can be seen that HKU is particularly competitive in terms of institutional background and equal score requirements.
