These three stars of the Rossoneri once ushered in an era of domination in European football.

AC Milan has seen many ruling dynasties in European football, and one of them is definitely remembered as the peak of the Dutch Three Musketeers. In the late eighties and early nineties, the Rossoneri led a technological football revolution under their leadership.

Coach Saki's 4-4-2 all-attacking and all-defensive formation, using an oppressive style of play, not only completely suppressed the opponent in terms of body, consciousness, but also technical tactics, led the team to lift the Champions League trophy for two consecutive seasons, and won the Serie A title three times, the Toyota Cup twice, and also created an impressive record of 58 league unbeaten games in the 1992/93 season.

Van Basten has been described as a "talented goalscorer full of poetic inspiration", with his light footwork, delicate technique, outstanding awareness and unique goalscoring ability. And Gullit is the heart of the attack, the perfect combination of body, strength, technique and intelligence, and his style of play on the court is gorgeous, and he can often tear through the opponent's defense with wonderful breakthroughs. Rijkaard is a defensive stalwart, he is a well-rounded player on the court, fierce in tackles, often responsible for limiting opposing scorers, while organizing and advancing with the ball in an orderly manner, and can frequently rely on headers to create threats.

All three Dutch stars have left a mark on AC Milan's history, with van Basten making 144 appearances for AC Milan and scoring 90 goals; Gullit made 125 appearances for AC Milan, scoring 38 goals; Rijkaard made 201 appearances for AC Milan and scored 16 goals.

On the international stage, the three of them also represented the Netherlands in three major competitions between 1988 and 1992, including two European Championships and a World Cup, and helped the Orange to the top of Europe in 1988.
