Jiang Meiyi: Because Bao Qijing took over "The Family on the Car", I did my homework with young actors before filming

author:Beijing News

The TV series "The Family on the Car" starring Lin Minqian , Jiang Meiyi , Bao Qijing and others is being broadcast on TVB and the buried pile heap, with a Douban score of 9.1. In the play, supermarket manager Che Zhiming (played by Lin Minqiao) sold the property for cash out in 2008, and failed to buy a desirable house after chasing the property price for 14 years, and he and his wife Mo Wenhui (played by Jiang Meiyi) used all methods to realize their dream of buying a house, but they were full of jokes.

Jiang Meiyi said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from the Beijing News that she liked this very down-to-earth story in Hong Kong, plus she and Bao Qijing were good friends in life, and when she heard that there was "Sister Bao" in the starring role, she immediately agreed to take over. The Mo Wenhui in her eyes may not be a good wife, but a good mother who protects her family and loves her daughter, and she has also changed and grown up in the later stage, "I also protect my family, which I am very similar to her." ”

Because Bao Qijing took over "The Car Family"

In the Cantonese context, "getting on the car" means buying a house, so "The Family on the Car" tells the story of a family buying a house in Hong Kong. In October last year, Guan Wenshen, the producer of "The Family on the Car", screenwriters Zhu Jingqi and Liu Xiaoqun approached Jiang Meiyi and invited her to play the role of Mo Wenhui in the play. She heard that Bao Qijing would also appear in this drama, so she immediately agreed, "I met Sister Bao when he filmed "The True Story of the Fat Cat" (1997). We are good friends and often drink tea and exercise together. And I read this script very touched and felt very grounded. Many of us in Hong Kong are busy all our lives actually wanting to have a house of our own. But housing prices in Hong Kong are very expensive, and buying a house is not something that can be done alone, but a big thing for the family. ”

In the play, Mo Wenhui wants to buy a house to the extent that she is almost crazy. She will seize every opportunity to buy a house, and will also force her family to work hard to make money to make a down payment, and often complain about why her husband sold the house to cash out. But as the plot progresses, she also reflects and grows after experiencing many things, and gradually realizes that having a house does not mean having a home, and the most important thing is that the family is neat. Jiang Meiyi likes the role of Mo Wenhui very much, thinking that she may not be a good wife, but she must be a good mother, "because she really loves her two daughters." I don't have children myself, but I still have some things in common with her, such as I am also protective of my family, and the family generally listens to me. And the screenwriter wrote her very three-dimensionally, she has different attitudes towards her husband, children, and people she doesn't like. Later, she still has growth and progress, not just in one dimension. ”

"The Family on the Car" uses comedy to describe the lives of ordinary people in Hong Kong.

Remind Lin Minqiao not to act so funny

Mo Wenhui's husband Cha Zhiming is played by well-known musician Lin Minqiang (composed songs "Love in the Fog", "Love in Late Autumn", "Heartless Sleep", etc.), which is also Lin Minqiao's first appearance in a TV series. Speaking of the cooperation with Lin Minqiao, Jiang Meiyi admitted that she was a little nervous at first, "He is an unattainable music master for me. But I didn't sing, I didn't have a chance to know him, and I didn't know what kind of person he was. I imagine that the artist's personality is not very warm, and if he is very fierce, I will be afraid. Fortunately, during the filming process, everyone got along very well and communicated very smoothly, and Lin Minqian also respected Jiang Meiyi, and most of her suggestions were taken after serious consideration, "mainly because I sometimes remind him that some scenes can't be so funny." In the play, it is Cha Zhiming who is talking, not Lin Minqiao. ”

What he learned from Zheng Zeshi and Liu Songren was also taught to young actors

In the play, Mo Wenhui and Cha Zhiming have two daughters - Qianqian and Manman, played by young actors Guo Baiyan and Luo Yuyi respectively, they have a lot of roles and lines. Jiang Meiyi was also worried at first that they would not be able to control it, but when she read the script (reading the script), she found that they had taken a lot of notes on their script, obviously having done their homework, "This attitude is very good." Because I met some actors, the script was blank, as if I came to shoot it without reading it. Maybe I'm too stupid, or maybe a famous young man is too powerful, and they keep a lot of things in mind, but I don't know. I think acting must do your homework, and if you don't do your homework, you can't give an accurate response. ”

Before the filming of "The Family on the Car", Jiang Meiyi set up a chat group with only her, Guo Boyan and Luo Yuyi. "I told them, I'm sorry, because you have to play my daughter, there are a lot of scenes to shoot together, so you need to do some homework in advance." She asked the two young actors to tell how they grew up. What is your impression of your mother? What is the relationship with the sisters..."because no one has taught them how to do it before. Many times they just memorize their lines, wait for the opponent to say the last sentence of the line, and then continue to say their own lines. But that kind of performance is not natural and not life-like enough. The actor needs to remember the content of the scene and the emotions of the character he plays, and then see how the actor plays the opponent, and then give an appropriate response. The two of them got used to this method and improved a lot. In Jiang Meiyi's view, Guo Boyan and Luo Yuyi are very serious in acting among the younger generation of actors, and they also cherish the opportunity and have a promising future.

The method she taught young actors to "do homework" was also learned from her predecessors Liu Songren and Zheng Zeshi. These two are not only excellent actors, but also have been directors and can look at the performance of actors from another level. Jiang Meiyi has collaborated with Liu Songren on more than one TV series, the most well-known to the audience is "Famous Ladies" (2012). Before each shooting, Liu Songren would ask her to do her homework in advance. Once the filming of the scene they worked together started two months later, and she asked if she could finish filming and do her homework, but Liu Songren vetoed it, "You can't catch up if you don't do your homework now." You don't play when you go back to the hotel at night, just do your homework. I call you every night. Not only for Jiang Meiyi, but Liu Songren has such requirements for all the actors of "Famous Ladies".

When it came time for official filming, Liu Songren would often ask the actor to write a dialogue for the next day to show him - even if the dialogue of the characters was already written in the script. In this way, he hopes to give the actor a deeper understanding of the emotions and feelings of the characters he plays in that scene. "If he thinks the dialogue we write, it's in the script. If it is not written well, he will tell us what is bad and why. You say how lucky I am to meet such a teacher! Jiang Meiyi sighed that her acting career was very fortunate to have the help and guidance of seniors such as Liu Songren and Zheng Zeshi.
