This November, seven beauties from the Eastern Caribbean will compete in Dominica (note, not the Dominican Republic) for the title of Miss OECS.
As you can tell from the pageant title, the competition is restricted to members of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

At the pageant, which officially launched this week, pageant director Romulda Heysing announced that the show will be themed "Caribbean, Tropical Utopia", saying that for the past two years the competition was suspended due to the pandemic, but with the reopening of borders, the event has restarted as part of Dominica's independence celebrations.
"We hope that this competition will enable participants to promote their national and cultural exchange through their beauty, personal talent, demeanor, charisma and intelligence."
Culture Minister Roselyn Paul said the event provided an opportunity for participating countries to share their culture and broaden their horizons. She considered the event an excellent complement to Dominica's independence celebrations and thanked all countries for agreeing to participate.
The competition will be held on November 5, 2022 at the Cultural Centre of the Old Moulin Rouge in Dominica. The show will also be broadcast live. Contestants will be featured in several rounds. Creative cultural costumes, performing talents, swimwear, evening wear, Q&A. Prior to this, all contestants will also appear in a promotional video that will include a promotional speech about herself and her country, which will also be judged as part of the judging project.
