1 When in crisis: save workers, open the sluice
At 12:52 on September 5, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake suddenly occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, and the spasm of 16 kilometers underground brought about a serious disaster of rock collapse and road damage. Located in Detuo Town, Luding County, the Wandong Hydropower Station is close to the source of the earthquake, not only casualties, damage to facilities, the landslide in the upper reaches of the Wandong River has also formed a dammed lake, if the power station does not open the floodgates in time, the consequences are unimaginable.
Gan Yu: When the earthquake struck that day, we happened to be on lunch break. I majored in civil engineering, working in the power station construction team, and a few workers and I rushed out of the break room, looking around, everywhere was collapsing, and we had to hide everywhere. In the process, a stone knocked me down the slope. My glasses were knocked off, and I climbed on the ground to the dam platform, which was concrete, and no stones flew down, which was relatively safe. 2 dangerous differences: do not drag, wait for teammates
Luding County is located in the Hengduan Mountain Range on the southeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which belongs to a typical alpine valley area, with high mountains and lush vegetation, steep valley walls, and interlaced ravines, and the special terrain and landform and the severe situation of road interruption and communication interruption after the earthquake, which brings great difficulties and challenges to the search and rescue work. Gan Yu: We spent the night at the power station, and we felt that the surrounding mountains were unstable, so we went out for help the next day. I am 500 degrees short-sighted and can only see more than 10 meters away during the day. Luo Yong found a rope and led me. I had a cell phone on me, but I didn't have a power cord, and it didn't work to have a power cord at that time. We walked for a while, the mobile phone received a signal, we quickly called the company for help. But there was no signal in the back, and the phone ran out of power the next day.
We could hear the helicopter, but the mountains were too big and the woods were so lush that we couldn't see where the helicopter was. We didn't have lighters on us, we had stones and fresh grass on the ground, and we couldn't light a fire and smoke. I put on a white dress, took off and hung on a branch to shake, ran to the landslide to shake, and without attracting the attention of the helicopter, it flew away.
We only had a bottle of water, hadn't eaten in two days, and were severely overdrawn. Moreover, I have no experience in wild sports, adventure camping, etc., and my physical strength is not able to catch up with Luo Yong. He is a local villager and is familiar with the terrain. I couldn't walk, so I said to him, you go to the rescue team first, I'll wait where I am. What I thought was that if two people continued to walk together, I dragged him down, and maybe neither of them could get out. But if he can find the rescue team and rescue me first, we can both get out alive.
We made an appointment, and when we were rescued, we would go to Moxi Town or where to go to the restaurant to rub a meal, the dishes did not need to be complicated, just simple. I probably waited for two or three days, but before anyone came, I thought that he was afraid that he would be killed in an aftershock on the way. I can't wait any longer. He pointed me in a direction before he left, and I followed in the direction he was pointing.
3 wilderness survival: sleeping stone seams, drinking urine
The Wandong River is the boundary river between Luding County in Ganzi Prefecture and Asbestos County in Ya'an City, and rescuers did not expect it, and after separating from Luo Yong, Gan Yu came to Menghugang in Asbestos County in the forest of Mangmang. To get to Tiger Hill, I have to keep climbing the mountain. Because there is a landslide body, it is impossible to follow any fixed route, and sometimes it is impossible to recognize the direction when you turn over the landslide and walk along. About the fourth or fifth day, I found a small creek ditch, and when I went to find water to drink, a stone rolled down on it and injured my foot. It was later learned that it was a fracture.
My feet hurt a lot, and I shouted a few times as I walked, but no one responded, which was more difficult. But I can think openly, such a big disaster, I can survive it is very lucky. I still have a lot of things I haven't eaten, and there are people whose families haven't seen it yet, and I must survive.
Of the 17 days, I remember 2 days without rain. The visibility on the mountain is not high, I go every day at eleven or twelve o'clock, and at about three or four o'clock in the afternoon I will find a "nest" to rest, sometimes under the tree, sometimes under the rock, curled up in it. At first, I also found some leaves and other shops, and then my clothes and pants were rotten, so I didn't care about that much, I just shrunk in and hid. The weather was very cold, only ten degrees at night, I could hear the cries of wild animals, but I did not touch it, so I still tried to sleep as little as possible at night to avoid being found by wild animals. At that time, I was really not sleepy, the sun came out, just find a place to doze off for a while. Because of the rain, I wear a raincoat and my upper body is dry, but my lower body is usually wet. When the sun came out, I lay on the ground and basked in the sun.
The biggest challenge is hunger. At the foot of the mountain it is good to say, there is a stream or something, I tore off the hat of the raincoat to get water. But there was no water in the mountains. I've watched Bell's "Survival in the Wilderness" video and learned to drink moss water as it looked. It was raining every day, the moss was wet, grab a handful and suck hard. It was a hassle on a sunny day, tired and dry, and I had to drink my own urine. Fortunately, this season can eat wild kiwifruit, I can't see clearly, touch it from the ground to pick it up and identify it, rely on it to fill the hunger.
Later, there is no concept of time. Sometimes I get tired of walking and take a break and wake up thinking the day is over, so I always feel like I've been inside for more than 30 days.
4 Good Guys: A "Help", a "Oh Oh"
Ni Taigao, a villager in Yuejin Village, Wanggangping Township, Asbestos County, met the search and rescue personnel when he went into the mountains to find sheep, and after hearing Gan Yu's story, Lao Ni decided to look for this good person who did not know him at the same time as looking for sheep.
