Everest "Sleeping Beauty": pleading not to abandon her before she died, now frozen for 22 years into a famous mountain sign

Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth, and so far many people have climbed the highest point of Mount Everest.

Some of these climbers do not even carry oxygen cylinders to the mountain.

Of course, Mount Everest is the highest peak on Earth.

For those who love mountaineering, being able to reach the summit of Mount Everest is an irresistible temptation. As a result, many people have put a lot of energy and money into this dream, and even their own lives.

As mountaineering gear gets better and better, so do more people trying to challenge the summit of Mount Everest.

But the dangers of Everest cannot be ignored, and by now, there have been more than 200 corpses on the way to the summit of Mount Everest.

Others fell from heights, perhaps stuck in ice crevices, and could never be found again.

On the way to the summit of Mount Everest, most of the above is due to lack of oxygen and extreme cold. In this environment, humans are not only slow to move, but even if they carry oxygen cylinders, they can barely breathe.

And people's thinking ability and reaction ability have also fallen to the trough, extreme fatigue is easy to make people want to sit down and rest for a while, but often this sitting down can no longer stand up.

In fact, Everest's height of more than 8 kilometers is called the Death Zone, where the slightest carelessness can lead to death.

If there is danger, even if someone reaches out, it will be extremely difficult to save the lives of climbers.

Many of the bodies that remain on Everest today cannot even be identified.

Among Everest's many bodies, perhaps the most famous is Tsewang Paljor, known as the "Green Boots," the victim in green boots who is now a famous "landmark" on Everest.

Near the body of the Green Boots, climber David Sharp sits here with his hands on his knees, but he has been sitting here for more than a decade.

Sharp may have just wanted to sit down and rest, but he never stood up again, and his body and life were frozen just a few hundred meters from the summit of Mount Everest.

Francis Arsentiev and her husband Silgay are very avid mountaineers.

In 1998, Francis and Hilguet decided to challenge the anaerobic summit of Mount Everest.

At the time, Francis was nearly 40 years old, but she was so eager to become the first woman in the United States to climb Everest without oxygen, so she still embarked on the road to climb the mountain without hesitation.

Fortunately, the squad successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, and Francis became the first woman to reach the summit of Everest without oxygen in the United States.

However, as the Yuan Dynasty miscellaneous drama "Contract Text" wrote: "The sky has unpredictable storms, and people have bad luck." ”

A blizzard was encountered on the way home for Francis and the others.

Francis and Sergey are separated, and when Sergei returns to the camp after a long struggle, he finds that his wife has not returned to the camp as he had hoped.

Perhaps Sergei also knew that his wife was more and more fierce, but he was not willing to give up, so he took oxygen and medicine and returned to the hiking route, trying to bring back his wife.

But Hillgay never returned, and it was later speculated that he may have fallen.

In fact, two Uzbekistani climbers, Ian Wooder and Cassie Oeder, spotted Francis on his way to the summit, when Francis was still alive.

But having been exposed to extreme cold for too long, she has been in a very dangerous situation and has developed severe symptoms of hypoxia and frostbite.

Wooder and Oeder tried to save Francis' life, and they gave up on the summit.

After spending more than an hour with Francis, trying to take her down, but until they were about to run out of oxygen, there was still nothing they could do about Francis.

Francis was already delirious as she muttered, "Don't leave me behind, please take me away."

But Wooder and Oeder had tried everything, and if they continued to stay, their own lives would be in danger.

Eventually the two had to leave Francis and return to camp.

Francis and Sergey remained on Mount Everest forever, and Francis became the frozen beauty on Mount Everest.

Climbers who traveled along the route could see Francis's body.

In 2007, when mountaineer Wooder returned to Mount Everest, he moved Francis's body farther away and covered her with an American flag.

Every climber who tries to climb Everest knows before they set out that they are likely to go back to the world.

The question of whether the summit of Everest is worth it has been discussed and debated countless times.

But in fact, it doesn't matter whether your dreams are worth it or not, only whether you want it or not.
