Marianne Eriksen Scott-Hansen is a Danish artist who never worries about the flowers withering, and Gein folds out various huge bouquets of flowers with her own hands on various colors of tissue paper, and the paper flowers will naturally continue to bloom. While each bouquet of flowers she makes is unique, not made from a model or a template, Scott-Hansen focuses on the creative process, enjoys it, never counting how much time she spends in each piece cutting paper and folding and shaping, and she incorporates her childhood memories of rural life and Danish folk art into the bouquet.
Scott-Hansen uses his ability to explore the limits of paper through dialogue with materials. In her opinion, from small to large, from thrift to China, is the only way to make the simple cotton paper bloom out of all kinds of beautiful appearances. The facial paper is more malleable than the durable, rough wood and delicate petals, and through her skillful hands, the same thin tissue paper is either transformed into a beautiful rose or a fictional carnivorous plant, all in her flash.
In 1995, Marianne Eriksen Scott-Hansen received a degree in fashion design from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, and has worked with clients such as the Danish edition of Elle magazine Elle Denmark, fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld, and French brand Hermès, and exhibited his installations at international summits in Copenhagen.
