Huia, which produces the wine, was founded in 1996 by Claire Allan and Mike Allan. The winery is named after New Zealand's legendary bird, the Huia, which identifies only one mate in its lifetime, supports each other, and remains unchanged throughout their lives. The feathers of the drooping crow are beautiful, symbols of wisdom, elegance and nobility, and are loved by international collectors and Maori. Unfortunately, this bird is now extinct.

Located in marlborough's Rapaura region, in the leewards of the Richmond Range, near the Wairau River, Château Flora enjoys a reputation as New Zealand's "Golden Mile". The winery vineyard covers an area of 9 hectares with excellent drainage of alluvial and stony soils. The Allens adhere to an environmentally friendly approach to vineyard management, working to improve soil structure, maintain biodiversity and provide a healthy ecosystem for all participants in the park.

The 2019 Château Gran Vittlina White wine is made from Green Vittlina, the most widely grown grape variety in Austria, but now it has found a suitable soil in New Zealand. The wine grapes that create the wine are all harvested from Kennedy Road Vineyard, a single garden in the Hawkesbury Valley, which is sunny and the soil is dominated by well-drained stony clay, providing excellent terroir conditions for the ripening of the grapes.

In terms of vinification, the grapes, freshly picked by hand, are destemperatured, crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation. During the fermentation process, the winery uses wild yeast to ferment the wine at low temperatures for a long time to preserve the pure flavor and personality of the grapes.

The resulting green Vittlina is rich and fragrant, with elegant flavors of citrus and floral notes, and the entrance reveals the flavors of jasmine, honeysuckle, citrus and lemon, with a fresh and lively taste and a long aftertaste. This wine is perfect to accompany scallops, sushi, crispy silver fish, fruity cheese, scallops with garlic butter and Thai beef salad.
