BYD's wholly-owned construction of the first overseas passenger car plant officially landed in Thailand, the largest automobile market in ASEAN and the automobile manufacturing center in Southeast Asia. BYD's Thailand plant will use right-hand drive technology and is expected to start operations in 2024 with an annual production capacity of about 150,000 units. In the European market, BYD will start selling The Don EV, Han and Atto 3 (domestic yuan PLUS) in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Sweden, and deliver in the fourth quarter of this year. The Japan region will sell Atto 3, seals and dolphins next year.
