Activities of the Japanese, U.S. and Canadian navies in the South China Sea: On September 8, the Izumo aircraft carrier and the destroyer USS Takabo of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's "Indo-Pacific Deployment-2022" formation visited Singapore and entered the Indian Ocean. (Figure 1-4)
On September 8, after leaving Manila, Philippines, the U.S. Coast Guard Legend-class Homeland Security ship Meggit crossed the South China Sea and arrived in Singapore. (Figure 5)
