On September 7, local time, 109 officers and men of the first echelon of China's 25th peacekeeping force to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) returned home after a one-year peacekeeping mission.

The 25th batch of Chinese peacekeepers to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), consisting of a 175-man engineering detachment and a 43-man medical detachment, was formed in two batches on September 12 and October 2 last year, mainly in an engineer brigade of the Army's 77th Group Army and the General Hospital of the Western Theater.

It is understood that after the deployment of the 25th batch of China's peacekeeping troops to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), under the circumstances of political turmoil, frequent outbreaks of violent terrorism, rampant epidemics, and harsh environments, all officers and men kept their mission in mind, worked tenaciously and diligently, and completed various tasks well. The engineering detachment has dispatched more than 15,000 troops, equipped more than 9,000 units, built 105 kilometers of roads, set up 43 sets of various types of board houses, large tents, and leveled more than 60,000 square meters of site. The medical detachment has received more than 620 patient visits, more than 40 surgeries, and more than 50 rounds of visits.
