The original Beiwangzhuang Village is like an isolated island in the river beach, scattered with houses and terraces from each family. The road between the houses is like a trench, potholed, every time it rains heavily, the mud is muddy, the streets become rivers, and when it is serious, even if you go to the neighbor's house, you have to row a boat.

"The people in the beach used to be bitter!" Not only is it difficult to go out, but it is difficult to go to school, see a doctor, eat water, use electricity, water the ground... It's hard! In the past, every flood season, everyone was always worried and did not sleep peacefully. ”

The Yellow River, which flows for thousands of miles from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, enters the lower reaches, and the water momentum gradually slows down, but it has also become a "hanging river" of "good siltation, good decision, and good migration", and in history, "two breaks in three years, one change of course in a hundred years", which has caused many disasters.

Dongming is known as the "first county where the Yellow River enters Lu", with the largest river beach in the province, and 14 villages in the vegetable garden market town where Wang Jinhua is located are in the beach. When they have small savings and are eager to get rid of the life in the beach, they close the store, buy a house in the county town and start a taxi, and they can't go home several times a year.

It wasn't until she walked into the selected new house that she believed everything in front of her and immediately fell in love with this new village and this courtyard.

Kunpeng New Village is composed of 8 natural villages, with a population of 4589 people and 1118 houses, all of which have been occupied. The name of Kunpeng New Village is taken from Zhuangzi's "Getaway", which means "Dapeng spreads its wings".

Today, there are 24 new villages like Kunpeng New Village in Dongming County, like brilliant pearls embedded in the river beach, and the meandering Yellow River connects them like a flexible ribbon. For the elderly, widows, widows, and families who have lost their ability to work and have gone out to work, a volunteer service team composed of party members has also been set up in the village to help them solve their difficulties at any time.

Less than 100 meters west of Wang Jinhua's home, Zhang Fawang, 68, was chatting with several villagers in the square in front of the door. His family lives in a 3-story building of 210 square meters, and is a large family of three generations.

A corner of Zhang Fawang's courtyard was planted with vegetables, cucumbers and beans on the shelf were full of fruits, and the shelves were lush with green onions and peppers, and the whole courtyard was full of vitality.

Zhang Fawang's son runs out for transportation all year round, and he and his wife and daughter-in-law plant 8 acres of land in the beach.

The wheat harvest is getting better, but the people are not tired at all. I live in the Yellow River beach, really caught up with the good situation! Depart Kunpeng New Village and drive along the spacious cement road further down the beach area.

The Yellow River beach in summer, the sun is white and hot, under the blue sky and white clouds, full of dark green, corn, soybeans, peanuts, sweet potatoes... All kinds of crops are riveting and trying to grow, as if they can hear the sound of their jointing.

Along the way, large transport vehicles pass by from time to time, and excavators on several exposed lands are busy. Hao Ruidang, an organizing member of the party committee of CaiyuanJi Town, said that these are the old village sites in the beach, and the villagers are stepping up their efforts to resume farming after relocating, and they can sow seeds this autumn.

After graduating from university, the 38-year-old Hao Ruidang took root in the beach district and became a township cadre for 15 years. In order to relocate and build the beach area, Hao Ruidang and his colleagues have been working in the beach area and on the village platform all year round, almost without taking weekends and holidays, witnessing the whole process of the planning and construction of the village platform, the relocation and settlement of the villagers, and the restoration of the land in the old village. She said that there was too much sweat and tears in it, but of course it was more touching, gratifying and happy.

Caiyuan Market Town has built two new villages, Kunpeng New Village and Lu'an New Village, and after the 13 old village sites in the beach are re-cultivated, the town will add 2,200 mu of good land. At the same time, after the relocation of the villagers, the old village building of Hongzhuang and the other three villages in the county, which are close to Kunpeng New Village, have been preserved as a whole and protected as the cultural heritage of the Yellow River.

The car drove past the original Duqiao Village re-cultivation site, the field of vision was more open, and the Yellow River, which was vast and rushing, was gradually clearly visible in front of the eyes.

Driving into a field path, beside the road, a melon field attracted our attention, and between the shiny dark green melon leaves, the round watermelon loomed. 50-year-old Cheng Guanjun is wearing a straw hat, sweating and picking melons in the field and carrying melons outside the field. Seeing our arrival, he grabbed a knife and cut a ripe melon and warmly invited us to taste it.

Dongming is the famous "watermelon town", good climate, water source, soil, to provide favorable natural conditions for the growth of watermelon. Especially in the Yellow River beach, the half-sand and half-silt soil is the most suitable for planting melons.

Cheng Guanjun said that in the spring of this year, he planted watermelons in his own fields, using red Tianlong varieties that are resistant to cracking and heavy stubble, high yield and disease resistance, and big red dragons. In order to ensure the quality of the melon, he insisted on applying organic fertilizer, seedlings, seedlings, stalking, pollinating flowers, busy for three or four months, and finally reached the harvest season.

Every day at 4 a.m., he would get up early and take advantage of the cool to go to the field to pick melons and transport melons, and he would pour three or four thousand pounds a day. Many vendors came to buy it, and the vehicles stopped on the ground. The 20 acres of melon fields he planted have an income of nearly 100,000 yuan. Now that the stubble melon is almost out of season, the peppers and eggplants planted in the field have also begun to be harvested, because they have signed a subscription contract with the distribution company, and they are not worried about sales at all.

In the adjacent field, the self-propelled sprinkler of Cao Yanjiang, a major grain grower, is slowly moving between the corn ridges and ditches, and the high sprinklers spray out a column of water more than 50 meters long. The water column spreads out in the air, forming dense droplets of water that are evenly sprinkled in the field without the need for manual manipulation. This scene made me, who came from a peasant family and was accustomed to farm work since childhood, also stunned.

He said that the sprinkler irrigation machine, rotary cultivator, seeder, tractor, tricycle and everything at home have basically realized mechanization. Even spraying pesticides often uses drones. Mu Chunping of the nearby Luyuan Farm is also a big grain grower, and his family is in Fuzhai Village in the vegetable garden market town. In 1997, he went to Beijing to start a business, and he went there for 24 years. When the company's business was booming, once returning home to visit relatives and seeing the great changes in his hometown, Mu Chunping moved the idea of returning to his hometown to start a business. In 2021, the 57-year-old handed over the company to his daughter to take care of, and he rented land in the Yellow River beach to start modern agriculture. What he values is the good soil, the right climate and the better and better ecological environment.

In the 500 acres of land circulating, he built 150 new greenhouses, planted fine watermelons, babe pumpkins, as well as fresh corn, sweet waxy corn, fruit corn and other new varieties, which are currently in the harvest season, and once listed, they are in short supply, and the income per mu is more than 10,000 yuan. In order to enrich the surrounding villagers, he hired more than 50 people from the neighboring new village. Mu Chunping's farm not only adopts mechanized and intelligent production methods, but also formulates pollution-free, pure green planting standards, and even "invites" a special group of "guests" - 6 boxes of bees, to be stocked on the farm and let them pollinate the crops naturally.

After more than 20 years of leaving his hometown, the Yellow River beach now makes him feel both familiar and strange. The river beach is still that river beach, but everything in front of you has changed. He worked on the farmland every day and became "friends" with the small animals on the beach. He found that many of the animals that were common when he was a child but disappeared later returned, and many new "friends" he had never met before. Especially in the autumn and winter, about 200,000 migratory birds will overwinter here, including rare birds, and the Yellow River beach has become their paradise. They roost, forage, soar and play here, becoming a beautiful scenery in the beach.

Compared with them, in Gaocun, which is less than 5 kilometers away from Kunpeng New Village, a video team appears to be more "professional" and more "famous".
